Excellent stuff, and I could not agree more. The Abrahamic religions are truly insane.
"Maps encourage boldness. They're like cryptic love letters. They make anything seem possible." - Mark Jenkins
British people are hilarious.
Religious nutcases are hypocrites, theyand moan when they think their religion is being censored but whenever a movie criticizing their religion comes out they are the first to tell people to boycott the film.
Well said.
I got a chuckle out of that and I needed a chuckle +rep.

My shameful truth.
Pretty offensive IMHO, but I don;t care. It's only an opinion.

It's times like this that I'm happy to be an atheist so I can fully appriciate such jokes.
What nutters? Like Archbishop Damaskinos of the Greek Orthodox Church who was the only secular or religious leader to speak out against Nazi Germany's deportations and mass killing of Jews? Like Patriarch Gregory who was hanged by the Turks after trying to protect his people? Like Archbishop Chrysostomos who when asked by the Nazi authorities to write down all of the names of the Jews of Chios and handed them a single name, his own. Never judge by the group.

Marcus Brigstock is hilarious, and also absolutely correct.
Tell me how
1. this is political in any sense
2. how this is current in any sense
4. why it belongs here, and not the Ethos
5: how this guy is funny
6. how this guy is right, seeing as it's nothing more than a rant which is even more ill-founded than most of the antireligious arguments here, and that's saying something
7. how this serves as anything else but yet another circle jerk by our resident hypocrite Antitheists based on, well, nothing really.

What a horrible opinion.
I shouldn't be surprised though of an anti-muslim racist rant from an English comedian.
Institutionalized dogmatic religion (I know redundant) is a problem. Infant baptism, church hypocrisy, faith insanity, and the hypocrisy of prayers are actually half-decent points, but on the whole it's just stupid and excessive.
Is it too much to ask for valid criticism with well-reasoned points? (Maybe acknowledge that oneself is not supreme being of your own little selfish world?) You can do this in comedy you know...
And criticise the religious oppression and state atheism practised by the Communist countries, and get attacked by many Atheist trying to argue that the people in questions weren't atheists or whatever. The hypocrisy works both ways. We'll stop being hypocrite bastards the moment you guys do.Some Christianstarts a campaign to make adultery a capital offence, most Christians wouldn't get involved. However, criticise the Christian position on homosexuality as a doctrine, and just see how fast ordinary Christians would become involved, thus shielding the nutters.
