Default Non-breakable alliances without a diplomat

Already there is some adaptation of this system for the DLV?

I must admit, this could be very cool with Scottland/France, Germany/Teutonic, Crusader/France, Portugal/Spain(?), etc.

I advice you to ask for permition to open a mini mod. This could be implemented.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Hey guys, I am not familiar with DLV. Has anyone tried to combine these two mods yet? is any file prompted to be over written in the DLV mod folder?

I am using DLV 6.1 along with BB 2.2. No other mods are being used. I downloaded the 3 files and was not prompted to overwrite anything.

I recently restarted a new campaign after a complete fresh reinstall of Kingdoms + aforementioned mods. I am playing the English vh/vh. I allied with the Flemish on turn 1 and on turn 28 they sent 3 stacks into the Caen province and besieged the fort there. They did not have a diplomat in the area and my alliance was intact the turn before.

These files do NOT work at all or perhaps its because its DLV, in either case...

Well there you have it; Some work does have to be done to make it compatible....But it doesn't sound like the mods shouldn't work together in theory.

it is usually the campaign script that ruins my mod, for example, scripted army spawns, scripted diplomacy adjustments, ect
So if you make an alliance, test if you can attack on same turn as forging the allaince, if your cursor does not allow it and you get a tooltip telling you to send a diplomat you know my mod works and it is a script in the original mod that prevents it form working properly.

I hope DLV 6.2 work WITH this new feature to create more advanced alliances... (i am in posting in the beta dev thread to that end).

When I first allied with the Flemish and during the entire time of my alliance with them I could not directly send an army against their holdings or units. My cursor shows a red X instead of its normal appearance. At the cursor point there is text telling me "You must first send a diplomat to inform them of your ill intentions before attacking" or something close to that.

In regards to campaign script, there is an event on turn 41 that puts a lot of factions at war with each other, but that doesn't apply in my scenario. Additionally my diplomatic relations with the Flemish improved twice from turn 1 to the turn I was attacked on, turn 28.

It could be the case you were recently aligned neutral through yours or their allies going to war. In any case, my mod files do not make the alliances 'unbreakable' as the title of this thread suggests, it merely creates a base for diplomacy and AI to be modded to ensure the faction you want to have allied stay allied..
I have Always stated this and when people say it doesn't work, it is continuously the diplomacy of other factions or a pre-defined script that makes you alliance turn neutral, which allows room for attack.

Hey Archaon, if you'd like to present it to DLV players as a minimod I don't see any problem, just a make a thread in our minimod section.

I never intended to be involved with DLV at all, i was directed here by the thread starter for the purpose to help you fine folks decide if you were going to include this feature, and if so how much of it would be used..

If anyone wants to do as Taiji suggests go right ahead, as you all know i let anyone use work i post without telling me, just please ensure my name is credited.

    Enjoy! Adios..
