I can´t pay for it every month![]()
But he can play it whenever he wants as long as the game has players and Turbine keeps it going. In long term it's cheaper and you can be carefree of expiring subscriptions. Month there and month here and pretty soon you have lost that $200 in normal way too.
EDIT: And by the way, that game is very beautiful. WoW loses 10-0 when talking of graphics. I can't play higher than medium settings, but sometimes when I see beautiful landscape I turn them to Ultra High, watch landscape for a while and then turn them back and continue playing.I could pay for that game only to see those graphics. It has awesome Middle-Earth feeling.

We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

Gotta pay for school...
played it for a while - stopped -played again for a while -stopped might play it again. the problem is that you need teams to play with and due to lots of work i progress way slower then anybody i played with. thats the big minus in these games for me. if you walk slow, you walk alone.
i play lotro and i like it very much!! anyone who likes tolkiens universe should play it![]()
Arise, arise, Riders of Theoden!
Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter!
spear shall be shaken, shield shall be splintered,
a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!
Oooh, what's your character?
I used to play it, kinda got addicted (played until midnight while I had school the next day), got kinda bored (I quit before MoM) and didn't find it worth the money anymore. Now I don't have the money to play again (and lifetime sub is €250 now, IIRC), so yeah... "Used to play". On Gilrain, my main was Dwalir.
Gameplay > tiny little things
I used to play it, but I found it becoming boring. Same as all MMO's in the end: kill an x amount of creatures, walk an x amount of miles etc. I did very much like the crafting thing, you could make almost anything yourself.
The game would be a lot better if it wasn't ran by Turbine.
i played the trial... 14 dayes... and level 21 great game but cant afford to play and dont have the time to play...
If people isnt over the minimum standard of living... lower the standard..
if there is too much poverty in a sociaty, lower the poverty line... my qoutes... comment them if you will...
I'm an avid WoW roleplayer. I looked at other MMOs since starting, but they haven't caught my fancy. I love the Middle Earth world, but - well, the information and opinions I got on LOTRO didn't impress me. I'm sticking with World of Warcraft for my MMO gaming and role playing.
By the way, I'm on Steamwheedle Cartel.
