    Default Race specific traits *UPDATED*

Hi all, iv recently been making some race specific traits for TATW and i thought seen as they all seem to work well so far il release them for all fo you to use if you would like too.

    So far i have;

Gondor; House of the Stewards, Noblemen, Middle Man, Deunedain, Lesser Dunedain

Rohan; Sons of Eorl, Noblemen, Middle Man

High Elves + Silvan Elves; Noldor, Silvan, Sindar, Teleri
(the liklyhood of getting each race varies for both factions)
    Dwarves;Durins Folk, Broadbeam

Harad;Man of Darkness, Black Numenorian, Blood of the Serpent (Royalty

Rhun; Man of Darkness, Variag, Balchoth, Wainrider

Mordor, Isengard, OotMM; Orc, Uruk, Goblin

Eriador; Dunedain, Lesser Dunedain, Middle men

Dale; Royalty of Dale, Noblemen Middle Men

Fathers pass their trait down to their Sons.

Preferably install over a clean version of 1.1 TATW

It wil probably conflict with most other mods because it uses the descr_strat but its easy to copy and paste the traits in. Hope you enjoy

fun stuff, though i was planning to include something very similar in my mod - so don't shoot me

as to the dwarves if you want to continue with that, i'd include them like this 80% Durin's folk, 15% Broadbeams, and 1% of the rest. (Including Firebeards who had long ago merged into durin's folk)
Son of the Ancient Archaon, House of Siblesz

You should change Silvan to Nandor.

    Great work!

I did some race specific traits some while ago myself, but yours are far superior.

However some effects seem way to good. (Like Dunedain.)

    Really nice

Shouldn't the 'Blood of the Serpent' trait (royalty) be for Harad instead of Rhun? Great mod though!

I was abit muddled with the two because I know that Harad had alot of Black Numenorians in their leadership, Il probably make it abit more lore acurate for when i put the Dwarves in.

Oh, and by the way... Húrin is of the House of Hador.

True. But does the trait 'House of Húrin' or 'House of Hador' matter now? Since this is the Third Age, and in the Second Age the three houses of the Edain were all assimilated in Numenor. Was there any distinction in the Third age?

Doesn't really matter, "The House of Hador" sounds better, though.

While looking through the triggers i saw that only characters offered for adoption can get those traits, but generals you get through marriage should get those traits, too.

It is a good idea mate, but for it to really increase inmersion, you would need more traits and them to be more lore influenced. You can take a look at EB for a good example, you could have some racial traits, that are prone to give x traits (for example, orc trait avoid getting chivalry).

An example of what i mean, with gondor:

    Dúnadan (+2 hitpoints, +3 loyalty, +3 authority)
This man can trace it´s ancestry directly back to the old kings of Númenor, giving him a powerful influence at home and abroad.

Lesser Dúnadan (+1 hitpoints, +2 loyalty, +2 authority)
This man have some dúnadan ancestry, but their ancestors mixed with other races of lesser men. As a result this man have some reminiscences of the look of the old numenoreans.

With other factions it could be similar, for example with Rhun you could make a trait for each one of the tribes: Balchoth, Wainrider, Variag...

I might make it abit more complicated some time, this was my first go at traits in ME2 so i just did it all simple, though now youv come up with the idea i wouldnt be suprised if i randomly do it tonight

And i was looking into the tribes of Rhun last night so il put them in aswell, they havnt really got any lore accurate stuff atm as i was just trying to give everyone somthing for when i first uploaded it.

    Right I've updated it, now all the triggers work properly, Iv made all of the traits more "lorelistic";
    -Added better descriptions
-Added proper traits for Rhun and Harad and Lesser Dunedain trait as suggested by Bucefalo
-Tweaked the traits that were already there
    -Added Cirdan ^_^

Il probably go into more detail with them next time i do it, adding more , and rarer, Elven traits and i'l definatly be adding more traits for the Dwarves

    Enjoy

I was thinking: could these race specific traits be used to give men a normal lifespan, Dunedain a longer life span and give Elves and Nazgûl immortality?

im pretty sure thats impossible to do unfortunatly, There is a file to edit the lifespan of characters somwhere but the name slips my mind, if put it up too 120 on mine seen as the majority of characters in the game are longer lived characters and the normal men seem to live untill very old in Tolkeins works

This is a pretty good mod aswell

Kills off all normal life spanned characters with a script and the rest live forever
