Don't install it. Download and install 1.2..

do you have Gold version or just the Medieval2 dvd?

i have normal dvd but i cant install patch 1.2 cause it says i dont have previous version

1.2 will not update 1.1. It will only update the original 1.0.
Are you using XP or Vista? Where did you buy it?

1. List your computer specs.
2. List all programs on your harddrive, even freeware, shareware, games, utilities, etc.

Your cpu really isn't up to this game. Knowing Gateway, is the video chipset is the 945 express or 965 express, it won't run it.
I believe your problem is lack of hardware.

Now that said, you still haven't told me whatelse you have on your harddrive.
