    Hi @ll!

    Have you ever thought about this? To do a mod for M2TW, that is playing in the elder scroll world tamriel?

    I have got a dream about it, but I'm not a profi modder

    To do a map is easy and one thing...
    But to model the imperial city and the units are complicate and an other thing...

    I've read the thread about the mod "Tamriel: Total War" and I saw, that this mod is dead a long time ago...

    Ohm okay... it was only an idea

    "To do a map is easy" ..... so...go do a map!

    I would think making a nice map of hte land with all the towns and such like set up would be a good start to any mod, Then think about factions and the units you would have for hte factions.

    If that holds together well, you may get interest from modellers and such like to make it look pretty. In the meantime, you can use stock units as placeholders and just change the names of them.

    If you have the skills to do a map, then you have enough skill to get started, and are probably ahead of a lot of hopeful 'would be modders' in that you actually have a skill to bring to the table!

    its not that making a map is easy, its just quicker then modelling all the units but if it is so easy give it a go, maybe this might get inrest

    Yes you're right... To do the map is not easy, but relativ easier than to model the units and so on.

    I work on the map today. But it's only at the first step. I must to do the heights_map, the map_regions and the other stuff, what is needed for an imperial campaign.

    Do you mean, it's possible, that I can woke the interest of some moddeler? But they're working on their own mods (and I mean the big mods like Stainless Steel or something other).

    Okay, I look what I can do. I will post again, when the map is done

    It is certainly possible to attract modellers etc. when they have some free time. Where most 'would be' mod leaders go wrong is to sya
    " I have a great Idea, but I can't do anything....so make my mod for me"
    At which point, every modder with an ounce of skill heads off into the distance.

    If you make a good map, sort out the detail of it, then sort out unit lists etc. Then modellers can offer to do a unit or two, or a faction set or some such. Trust me ... with a mod that looks alive, with the creator showing some good quality content, it is far easier to attract other help.

    I have about 10 models for an Oblivion mod i was a part of. If i see that you are serious about this, and have recruited an able team, i can let you use them.

    If you have any free time, you'll be the first member of this modding team. And if you have interest, of course you can join the team.

    At this time I have already done:
    map_heights.tga (must become a lil bit better, it is not finish)
    map_ground_types.tga (must become a lil bit better, it is not finish)
    map_regions.tga (must become a lil bit better, it is not finish)



    This ist the first map_regions, it must become a lil bit better too like more regions and so on .
    I will do this

    Interest ... but very limited time!

    Nothing im just sayign Bwian is probably one of the most flexible modders of our days and one of the most flexible modellers.

    Nice that somebody actually thinks of making this mod! I can't mod, but I played through Morrowind and Oblivion and it's expansions quite a few times, so maybe I could help as a researcher? I allready suggested a list of possible guilds for some factions for Tamriel: Total War and some other ideas iirc, and I could look that up for you if you want?
    80% of the people on forums have things in their signature they ask you to copy. If you're sick and tired of this, copy this in your sig
    Fun things to do in Total war:
    1. Trample peasants to death with elephants (optionally with culverins)
    2. Burn peasants with greek fire
    3. Bombard peasants with mangonels
    4. Burn peasants with fire-arrows

    Yes, I like my peasants...

    The mod is dead, but i can let you use the models we have if you are going to see this through. We have more models than are previewed on the thread.
