Are Numidian Militia and Desert Infantry ready for download ?
Yours Numidian Legionaries and Regulars work perfectly :grin
    Very Good job LAca :swow

Will you create a kind of phalanx unit for Numidia (as a pre-Marian unit) or do you have abandonned this project ?

And just a litle question... :blush how can I edit the .dds file ? :rolleyes

I dont know about phalanx unit being used by numidians. Maybe their equipment can reflect the carthaginian influence. If u look at the legionaries, they have a kind of macedonean style body armour with those lamelles on it. It is basically the regulars armour with pteruges added and these lamelles (the lamelles are based on the Alexander movie, i hope that they had some good advisors). Maybe a post marian set of advanced units - regulars with pteruges and that lorica segmentata style leather armour and better stats and the legionaries have 2 units (pre and post marian) - the first to have some leather armour like the macedonean style phalangites and fight with swords and spears and the second with this lamellar type and have javelins and swords...

    Andyes, the garamantes:

Thanks for the Garamentes, I'll try it immediatly :w00t

For the "phalanx units", i think it's unhistorically, but your model is so pretty, that a little historic digression isn't a crime... *tongue*

I've read on an Osprey book (Rome Ennemies 5 - The desert frontier) that Numidians imported some of the weapons they used.
For example, in the plate with the Numidian prince, they write about the warrior with chainmail that :
"Greek and Carthaginian influence are obvious in this men's arms and armour, though, such well-equipped warriors were rare in North Africa. His helmet his probably of Carthaginian origin while his mail corslet was almost certainly imported. The Shield, spear, scabbard and perhaps sword could have been manufactured locally"
So, maybe could you give a chainmail armour to your Numidian officer ?

Not the officer, the general. Mail armour is expensive and not that simple to manufacture. The leaders maybe can afford something like that.

    A great "Numidia Mod" !

    LAca give us :
    - Garamentes (desert infantry) (Great , very great job !)
    - Auxillia infantry
    - Imitation legionary (or Numidian legionnary, a very great job too !)

We are waiting for ( he he he...)
    - Numidian militia (the work was in a good way)

    And maybe
    - a new Numidian Archer
    - a new Numidian Slinger
    - a new Numidian Cavalry (to replace light or medium cavalry ?)

So, anything new about Numidia ?

Well, the militia is done, some uvw and texture adjustments must be finished, then i will release them too.
The archers will look like the militia, i dunno yet about the cavalry... They will be something of a mounted version of the garamante with the new legionaries face or something like that (with knives for secondary weapon). The slingers... will see about them.

Maybe could you use a monted Garamentes to replace the camel cavalry and some parts of legionary / auxillia or Militia to replace the medium cavalry (carthaginian round shield).
The original RTW javelin calvalry seem to be good and historically accurate or maybe could you create a new javalinman for Numidia
take a look on DBAOL :
    Light Horses (javelin cav.)- http://www.dbaol.com/images/faces/13_face.jpg
    Cavalry (Spanish/Gaul) (javelin cav.) - http://www.dbaol.com/images/faces/976_face.jpg
    Javalinman (auxillia) : http://www.dbaol.com/images/faces/33_face.jpg

    These are all good ideas.

I will remake all units, including the javelin cavalry. I was thinking about changing the long shields to these iberian cavalry as a heavier version of the javelin cavalry - or make them the generals bodyguards - they used iberian cavalry as bodyguards as i heard - it would be like those eastern generals units.
I see no archers at dbaonline - did the numidians use them?
And i like those elephants... maybe an elephant mounted guy with javelins..? (if it is posible at all in the rtw engine)

I wouldnt trust DBAOL, some (most) of their units are very very general (some are just plain wrong)

    http://www.barca.fsnet.co.uk/numidians.htm

    some decent info there
