    Default Gondorian kingship mod

The mod isn't compatible with 1.4 and I am remaking it at the moment. I will release it when 2.0 is out. First of all: I can't make the graphics, so I need someone for the 2d-art. Everyone able and willing to do it can pm me.

Sounds really good, could you elaborate though, does aragon automatically become king at turn 20?? could you not have a better trigger for aragon becoming king, maybe taking Minas Morgul?
In the books, aragon is king before they march on the black gate?? might be right, might be wrong

Aragorn is king from the start, but he isn't on the map (like the Norwegian king in the British campaign)

he isn't on the map from start
    *20 turns later*
he is on the map as king of gondor

right anxsan. But I might use another system as soon as the steward tree and title system is finished. I just made it this way to let Aragorn spawn as king, but I already know how it could otherwise (and under some circumstances better)

you should consider putting all those files in their right folders inside the archive.
right now all one gets is a bunch of files most people don't know where to put

also for the problems you posted in the other thread.

    the portrait problem :
add a portrait Aragorn to aragorn's line in descr_strat

    name problem :
you should add new names to descr_names.txt, and then add their coutnerparts in text/names.txt

also provide your export_vnvs.txt.string.bin, names.txt.string.bin and world/maps/base/map.rwm or some people might get crashes

Here are the portraits for Aragorn and Eldarion that I included in the file, I haven't tested it but it should work fine. I don't know how to include an unique portrait for Arwen if you know how let me know.

So am I to understand it that Aragon is an on-map useable character, as are his subsequent heirs etc and you are developing a stewards family tree so that the stewards still exist?

What are your thoughts on a trigger instead of an elapsed period of time?

At the moment, the characters like denethor and ecthelion still exist, but they are just generals, and I want to change that so there will be two families, the royal and the steward one, on the family tree.

Excellent, it will bring a whole new feel to the mod. I think most Gondor fans look foward to having kings back in the kingdom

If you've played the Britannia Campaign on Kingdoms Vanilla, you'll find the King is on the Family Tree King Harkonnan (sp?)
But he wont appear until later in the Game with a Fleet of Viking Warriors.

TWFanboy has created the same principle for Aragorn.

What like the Barons Alliance? You have the Stewards of Gondor Faction and the King of Gondor Faction?

No. The stewards were advisors, managed the kingdom when the king was at war, but nothing else. An extra faction for them wouldn't compensate this.
But your idea could be used otherwise: There could be a Dol Amroth faction (the stewards were from this family, if I remember right).
By the way what about the mod you planned?
I just saw: 200 posts. Yeah.

No, it wasn't mod, just idea I had which you already thought out.
Just throwing some fresh suggestions your way in hopes it helped you come up with any fresh inspiration.

It would give the Game an Interesting twist if a Steward with low Loyalty turns on the King and forms his own Faction at Dol Amroth?

Maybe an End Turn General in Dol Amroth could receive "Steward Ancillary" as a Rank like you said, maybe it has a Negative effect like reduced Loyalty through Corruption of having such a powerful Title, that he feels the King is not worthy to rule.

To Counter any Player Cheating and not having any General sit in Dol Amroth to avoid a Rebellion, maybe the same thing with the Immortal Nazgul at Gorgoroth script can be added so a General with the Trait Dies and a New Steward respawns at Dol Amroth so rebellion is always a chance of happening in Gondor.
Only way around that is if the Settlement is taken or Revolts killing the Script and the Steward Trait? I don't know how it Works.

But with Mordor and Harad knocking at the door can Gondor handle another threat?

The steward title will be given by a bloodline trait

Hmm, No. The Stewards were from a noble dúnedain/númenorean family called the House of Húrin. They married themselves with the lords of Dol Amroth, but were never of that house.

I know, old post. But I felt like replying to it :p

Would you be interested in portraits for Aragorn and Eldarion?
Will Eldarion be also present for Gondor? Is he playable from the start?

Eldarion is a 16-years-old Gondorian general in rivendell province available from the start. A useable portrait for him would be great, aswell a portrait of arwen.
