    Icon2 One Ideea for NAVAL COMBAT

    Hi again. Mi Ideea its simple in essence.When attacking an enemy ship will apear 2 option : 1 Witdraw and 2 Boarding Ship. Scenatio of the batle will be like crosing the bridge.I think it is posibile to make new texture of terain that represent material of ship construction,ropes,laders(exist)....etc.Can be 2-4 scenario of naval batle,depending of the tipe of ship.In batle will fight- 1-All man who drive the ship ,including the CAPTAIN( ONE SINGLE MAN WITH GREAT HP ...and experience). 2 Aditional trups for guarding the ship coposed bi regular army of the empire .Each ship can cary an fixed number of aditional trups,depending of the space in the ship ( upgrade).All man can gain experience after combat.Guarding trups can walk on the land and can be reinforced again in the castle or town.Crew of the boat canot disembarc and can be retrained only in ports.This ideea can rise TOTW in the top of the best mods for kingdoms(Guaranteed).

    Whi? Whi not? In naval combat , batle its the same as real batle.Diference will be the scenario.If someone change textures of 2 lands conected bi one bridge ...Than can make texture for naval batle.For heavy ship can be constructed one minor fortification for better protection for captain-Wooden fort its ideale.Must be smaller.Can be added Balista,catapult.In naval batle canot fight cavalery.

    You obviously don't know about the hardcoded limitations of the game engine.

    Unfortunately, PSIHOPAT, what the above posters have pointed out is that ship battles are simply not supported by the M2TW engine. If you want ship to ship action you'll have to play ETW, I'm afraid.
    So sorry. It would be cool, but nope

    INCREDIBILE....I speak alone...no one undestand wath i say?In naval batle (ASSAULT SHIP) dont fight navy.Dont even move.Just sit as any part of terain in the game.In this battle dont mather atack and defence of the ship,as in real life.In naval battle its important,but when infantry assault an enemy ship sort of the battle its changed .Single diference that count its better fortification for upgraded navy.Presumably must be done in 3D but to restrict camera rotation(just zoom in and zoom out).

    dude, even getting the "Fight battle on battlemap" button show up for sea battles is impossible.

    if it was possible we would all be busy fighting in Minas Tirth, Helmsdeep and all film locations.. but cant, and naval battle is hardcoded..
    If people isnt over the minimum standard of living... lower the standard..
    if there is too much poverty in a sociaty, lower the poverty line... my qoutes... comment them if you will...

    Ok i´ll try and explain it...

    CA created a game revolving around a campaign map with some sandbox battles that are generated when the armies are on a certain tile of the map.

    They never intended to make naval battles playable, so the "fight button" you say, simply does not exist. And no, modders can no create it. Because modders can not create things that were not in the original game. What modders do is to use the original things that were already there, and disguise them so they look better for the mod they are doing.

    For example the invasions of sauron are the crusades of medieval 2 total war, if there were no crusades in the first place, they could have never done the invasions as they are now.

    So please, be reasonable about what you ask. If you know nothing of what can be done, and what can not be done, with the M2TW engine then please stop showing us your amazing ideas.

    Man guys, you can explain it nicely. What they are trying to say PSIHOPAT is that it is impossible to add an extra button to the naval battles like the one you suggested, and it would be impossible to make that button work with the type of battle you described, sadly. Good idea but it just can't work.
