    Default help please

hey gents i have a slight problem with MTW2, every time i play it it crashes to desktop. It all started after i unpacked MTW2 so i could start editing the script, but i never really got around to it. I remember reading on twc forums sbout after unpacking the game you should delete a certain script text or the game will start crashing. i am just wonder where i could find that script text

It only crashes if you try to fight battles. There is a readme that is in with the unpacker. There are two geography files that have to be deleted for battles, only. If it's crashing otherwise you have other problems.

Just uninstall, reinstall it. If it plays a cutstum battle and you can start a campaign, then unpack.

The readme.txt is in c:\program files\sega\medieval ii total war\tools\unpacker in XP. In Vista it's buried in c:\users\ and it's hidden.

The two geography files are in the medieval ii total war\data folder.
