Default [FAILED 06/03/09] [Civitate] The Noble Lord (Patron: Farnan)

    Farnan
Why he should be made a citizen:

As many of you may be aware, I hold the opposing opinion of The Noble Lord on many issues, especially regarding the status of Kosovo and NATO. However despite this I have grown to respect him and have found him a worthy member. Unlike many that seem to inhabit those threads he has shown great maturity and self control setting him above others. Besides this he has been a helpful member in the Personal Help and Advice Forum and has helped staff on matters requiring the translation of text from Serbian to English in respect to Vlad. The Noble Lord has proven to be a great member and an asset to this site and in my opinion deserves this honor.

    Noble Lord
    The Noble Lord
Its very hard to start praising myself now but in short I will give you the list of things that I have done for the TWC so far.
Since I joined in October 2007, it is a pleasure to be member of the best TW forum on the net. I am only member of TWC and don't go to any other TW forums or chat rooms or anything like that. I am very active in following sub-forums: BC, ETW, M2TW, SS, Tsardoms:TW and Ferrum Aeternum when it comes to the games. I contributed great deal when it comes to all aspects of gaming.
Then, I am very active in Discussion & Debate and Thema Devia related sub-forums. In all of them I tried to be fair and ballanced and honest when it comes to my comments.
I also encouraged few of my friends to join the TWC and they are members now. Then during that donation drive for the new server in Jan-Feb I donated some money and one of my friends did the same to my knowledge.
I also reccomended to GED and others in "Suggestions on how to improve the forum" to open up the bank account and that way members would be able to donate money whenever they can. I spoke to lots of young members and they told me that they would love to donate but they don't have credit cards.
Honestly, I would be honored to be a Civitate and I believe that I would be able to help the TWC and make it even better.

Yes. The applicant is level headed and shows maturity in the threads that we have posted together in within D&D and also M2TW. I am not familiar with specific accomplishments, but based on the quality of his posts he should make a great Citizen.

As Viking said in the post above, he is an all round poster which increases his chances in my opinion. A little bit of magic everywhere! A real debator at most and this is quite clear on paper.

He is a very keen debator and loves to join in without need. His posts certainly show this and is very active in the TWC Community (That being in the Discussion and Debate forums, as well as the Thema Devia).

I feel that his contributions could be more directed so i'm going to let some others come in with a few opinions first before I make my final decision.

I personally have ran across him a few times, but I never could say that I saw anything out of the ordinary. He seems a bit above average in the mudpit, being polite and trying to debate rationally, but I don't feel that should be enough for citizenship. I would vote no, if I had a vote.

Soulghast makes a point that I believe needs to be addressed. There is nothing special and unique about the applicant. The applicant is a nice enough member posting in a variety of forums. Does the member need to be doing something of more substance to become a citizen?

I'm hesitant about this one. Due to personal reasons, I may have to abstain from this vote.

I don't know. Looking through his posts I'm not all that impressed -- I'm going to vote no, not because he's a bad candidate, but because I think he needs a little more work in posting before he should be a Citizen.

Leaning towards a no. He is a nice guy and decent poster, but don't think that is enough. Will look more over the weekend but I don't think so.
