Music files
Preface:
I know how to alter descr_sounds_music to change the music.
I know where to find the mp3s that LT added into SPQR.
My Rome install is a Steam installation.
Nothing is actually broken, this is a curiousity.
Here's the meat of the thread:
I'm looking at descr_sounds_music and noticing that the music for the lose condition on battles is still Lose1-Lost_Souls.mp3 (that great, haunting track that is a carry-over from vanilla). I like it, and plan to keep it BUT:
The mp3 doesn't show up in my sounds/music folder.
What???
The descr_sounds_music file points the game to said file, in data/sounds/music...but there is no file. However, the song still plays.
I searched my entire hard drive for this mp3 and it doesn't seem to exist.
My question is this: Are the default tracks embedded in a compressed or otherwise encoded file in the Vanilla install files? Or do I have an interesting case because it's a steam install?
The Gauntlet is thrown! Can you find these mp3s in your install?
Lose1-Lost_souls
CampaignWin1-Invicta
My curiosity is piqued.

Re: Music files
there a several files that are incripted and need extracting in order to be assessed, all of the original music falls under this category as does thing like unit cards ancillaries cards, and so forth.
now you can reference to these tracks fine and the game will play them, or if you check the attached file its an extrctor that makes them accessible (note its not mine i obtained it from the modding help section ages ago and i think it has instructions but if you get stuck do a search for it)
