I don't get how to make battle maps

I was up to step 21 on the lordz instruction thing and they didn't explain how they painted the terrain or how they even got it on gimp

In order to make that "painted" terrain you need to download the texture pack from the pnp website.

Put the textures into pnp terraincreator folder/data/textures and then set the terrain properties in the file to application directory, and goto plugins and load the textures. Then switch to texture mode and start painting, once done do a export as the tutorial says.
