How unexpecting..Anyway, I think she deserved it. She was one of the best performances. Her first line was a bit out of tone (but hey, she had a lot of pressure on her) but the rest of the song was absolutely amazing. As was the apotheosis. She also picked another brilliant song, this time from the musical Cats. (You should know that one).

My second favourite has also been chosen; Diversity.

    Thoughts?

I dislike these singing competitions. they are trying to turn music into soulless pop drivel like Simon Cowell's singers.

Agree completely, its just for the money. Placing a vote cost £1, 5million people watching it with maybe half voting for an act is £2.5m squid, plus maybe 500,000 of those people buying the winning persons record is a heck load of monies.

    They'll break her eventually.

They'll want the two dance acts in the final for a big dance off.

Man its so fixed its ridicilous. I guarantee you Susan Boyle and a dance act in the final. High chance of Susan Boyle winning it. People just love the whole fairytale bullcrap of the ugly duckling with a beautiful voice. I personally think shes pretty average, its just cos shes ugly shes getting all this attention.

Oh wow, you have just named the two favourites to be in the final.

    A definite fix, I say!

Susan Boyle's entire entry in the competition is fixed. Like hell they didn't know she could sing, they just wanted a Cinderella tale cause otherwise people'd get bored
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...

Ha its like that with everything. The first Big Brother was Dutch, now nearly every country in the world has a Big Brother.

That's exactly why she's so famous, cos she's so fugly. Which is a strange paradox in a society which values good looks so much. Don't know about the Scottish sterotype though, haven't seen many Scotish women
