banners gone?

i for some reason cannot see any banners for any units. i did not disable any, so i dont know why they would be gone........how do i reenable them?

IIRC, the banners have been disabled because correct faction banners are not done yet. Could be wrong on that one, though. To reenable them, edit your TATW.cfg.

Change:

show_banners = 0

to:

show_banners = 1

This is mods deafult configuration, don't know if they have made any banners.
But to reenable them go to Mods\third_age\TATW.cfg and look for "show_banners = 0" allmost on top, and change it
to show_banners = 1.

you're going to end up with vanilla banners e.g egypt flag for high elves.

Try playing a campaign without banners first, it really add to the immersion. You can always change it later.

agreed, i've always hated the banners in rtw and med2, so annoying to see large flags flying above my units.. that and the green arrow markers..
which i've sadly forgotten where to turn off -.-

go in to your TATW.cfg-file and insert this under [game]
disable_arrow_markers = 1

what are green arrow markers? i dont remember seeing those..........

and i like banners.it helps me to identify where my units are quickly

whenever you select a unit, there are green markers under their feet in the shape of arrows so you'll now where all the people in that unit are. it helps identification but also ruins immersion and screenshot opportunities

there have been countless times were i forgot to pause, press enter, then take the screenshot

i still have the arrow markers on; i prefer them. i rarely take screenies but when i do, i just press enter
