I'm not sure, and my timescale is still set to BC. The best place to ask is at the technical part of this forum, which can be found here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=420
Do you have an earlier save and did you restart RS? CTD's happen but I didn't have problems loading games..

you could try doing something different before ending turn to that year so whatever triggered the ctd could be avoided.

The purpose of having multiple saves of different names is so you can go back and get around CTD's like this. No mod in the world is free of them. RTW just decides to go 'bonkers' during a turn, and wham! You're done, unless you have a few saves before that happened. I've had campaigns where I had to go back 2-3 saves and replay a bunch of stuff to avoid a CTD I couldn't get around. The sad thing is that RTW will 'tolerate' a mistake IT made up to a certain point....like a trait it gave a General by mistake that basically immobilizes an army for several turns. You don't notice it and you keep playing....and SAVING the mistake. Then RTW decides...'Oh, I made a mistake! CTD!!' So sometimes you have to go back and hope it doesn't make the same mistake again....which it 'usually doesn't'.It's stuff like this that prompts me to plead with players to save often, and save different files.....don't just save INTO the same save file.

good advice; make 3 savegames, and save before every battle
I save my game on every turn like exp: Rome-485-winter than Rome-486-summer coz each yr got 2 turns summer follow by winter season. it'she yr 486auc and yr after tat and does ancillaries and trait affect a game. I add battle ancillaries to family members and generals like military_tribunes, drillmaster, quartermaster etc and managment ones to governors like equestrian, procurator, magistrate. As for trait i only include nigthbattlecapable to charactors. does all these affect the game. Pls do advise .
I realised one thing is if i mod my game such as files like EDU or EDB when i half through the campiagn my game will go Nutz.. letc i cannot load saved games up anymore. izzit the game cant accept a different type of gaming profile??![]()
It's because you ended up screwing around with the contents of the mod itself. For example, if you end up replacing a spearman with hoplites and said hoplite units have a different sprite than the spearman and different names, then your game will not work because your saved file will read for the original spearman file in the EDB, but the line just isn't there so the game crashes.
At least, that's the basic gist how I understand it, correct me if I'm wrong.

If you add traits or ancilliares....well, I can't think of any quicker way of screwing up a saved game. Changes to major areas that especially involve named charcters is risky business. You should ALWAYS start a new campaign after changing such things.
