    Default Rebel Flag

Ok, so I thought of somethin today, and I looked for a recent thread that asked this question, and I didn't see one so I gave myself the OK on this one. I heard someone on the radio saying how the rebel flag should be burnt and anyone that owns one punished. I was wondering about what ya'll thought about the rebel flag and if ya'll think it stands for racism.

Yeah, they were going for the 'we're not Dutch but upside down Germans'- vibe.

And in the end they were so confused about the entire thing they actually codified it with vertical stripes. Journalists starting a country, bound to be a mess.

Haha I am sorry. I thought it was given but ya'll are right about all the rebel flags. I meant the Confederate flag that General pointed out.

I think it stands for a lot of whining really. A bunch of states seceded because a candidate was elected that they didn't like. Real mature.

These days it's just a sign a cultural heritage to distinguish Southerners from Northerners and other Americans. It has nothing to do with race or rebellion anymore.

That's why I'm amazed about what that guy said. I'm curious if people still feel that way.

That's what I hear a lot, but it is honestly a poor "sign of cultural heritage". It quite honestly stands for a few states throwing the country into turmoil for 4 years and causing the single greatest casualty list the United States has ever seen for practically no reason whatsoever. The southern rebel mongers were paranoid at best, and just blew everything way out of proportion.

He propably means our glorious Dutch Prinsenvlag, the flag of the Dutch rebellion and the flag of the Republic and Golden Age!

And Belgians can say what they want, deep down they are Dutch . Flemish are at least starting to see the light.

Yeah, our massive refusal in all polls to join with the Dutch really showed that.

Opinion doesn´t exual fact does it.

Anyways, according to the polls almost a mayority of the Flemish with to let Flanders and the Netherlands unite as it should be.

Its no use for Netherlanders to be divided.
