1.1 & 1.2 patch installing problem

hi i have medieval 2 total war and just bought the kingdom expansion, i tried just installing the 1.1 patch but an error occured,"error:cannot open file C:\game\data\sounds\Music.idx, update could not be continued. Does anyone know why this is happening?

You don't need the version 1.1.

Since you have Medieval2 installed, put Kingdoms in and let it work its magic. It has all the patches you need and will install them for you.
