So you've read the rules and information, and would like to join?

Well, this is how you do it;

1) Name
=> People want to know what to call your Character when they meet you. It can be as short or as long as you like.
2) Rank
=> The rank of your character. In GSTK, you start out as a freedman, the class of people just above the serfs and peasants.
3) Age
=> Age can be very important, especially in first appearances. A battle-hardened knight may react differently to a fresh-faced knight just earned his spurs than a venerable baron of many years. Your character will age at a rate of one year per real-time week.
4) Ethnicity
=> The people of England will react very differently to different people. Though they will be accustomed to seeing a man from any of the British Isles, they could well act with hostility towards the hated French, or become concerned in the presence of a Muslim. You will find that most characters will have Norman or English heritage.
5) Biography
=> This doesn't have to be long; three or four sentences can cover it all, in fact.. If you want to really expand and explore your Character, perhaps you may want to give him more of a back story. At any rate, this is where you explain what your Character or his family has been doing before entering the game.
6) Physical Appearance:
=>If you like, you can describe your character. This will make it easier for the rest of the players to interact with your character.

Physical description:
Blonde short hair. Quite short but muscular. Green blue eyes. A lot of scars covering his face and upper body. Looks very much like his Brother King Geoffry II.

Biography:

James is the result of the relationship between King Paul I ( the father of the current king, Geoffry II) and his mistress Anna Colville. He was born in York and was at first raised by his mother Anna until she died at the age of 30. When she died James was only 5 years old and was sent to a monastry outside the city of Reading by his uncle. During his time in the monastry the king himself visited him a few times, secretly of course. In the monastry the monks tought him to read and to write. They tought him to act like a gentleman and also how to fight like a true englishman. When he was 20 years old he, together with a knight named Gareth travelled to the holy lands on a pilgrimage journey. In the holy lands he took part in many battles and was wounded several times, he survived though. After the long pilgrimage that lasted for over 8 years he, together with gareth and a couple of monks visited Italy and also the Holy roman empire. After one year in saxony, his mentor Gareth died. James then, deeply depressed, only together with his horse Definydd travelled to the island of Rhodes. When he arrived, he met the knights of St John that ruled and still rules over the island. He joined them and became a knights hospitaller. He served at Rhodes for 8 years, and fought against the turks, but when he heard the news of the war against France he quickly rode to Calais. He is currently in France fighting together with his english brothers against the french as a captain of a veteran guard company. He has not seen England for 19 years, soon he will return.

Physical Description: Blonde hair, blue eyes, one scar on his right cheek from a French arrow. Muscular but slightly less than before.

Short Biography: Born the Son of the 2nd DUke of Thame, Faragut Edrington THomas was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
At the age of 17 he with the help of his father became an XO of one of His Majesty's Armies in France. He fought bravely and regularly got bloody and recieved his scar from a French arrow which grazed his skin. After a year he was promoted and became His Majesty's commander of all armies in France. After again distinguishing himself on the field of battle and the art of diplomacy he was made His Majesty's Chamberlain. Thomas took this post until his father died and took his heredatry title as the third duke of Edrington. After being out of politics for a while he has finally returned and aims to become the top dog of the English political circle. His wife is Lady Helena Edrington and his son is Lord Henry Edrington.

Recently however his title has been stripped and his family murdered...
He is now a down and out freedman in londonw ith dreams to bring back pride to his family.

Name: Heinrich "Stahlherz" von Brandenburg

Bio: Born in as son to the Duke of Brandenburg, Heinrich Stahlherz (steel heart) is a strong and forceful man who while being a famed warrior is also a well known politician. He left the court of Brandenburg at the age of 16 and left for Constantinople where he fought the Turks in multiple confrontations. Soon after, Stahlherz made way to France, there he served France as a Commander until he was banished due to his disrespect for the King. He soon moved to England where he has various relatives. Stahlherz is related to many noble families including nobles in Spain, France and Germany. He is also distantly related to the Rufus'.

Rank: (ex-Lord) Freeman, aspiring to be the re-affirmed Lord de Lyonesse. Now Baron of Lyonesse, lives as 'Lord of Lyonesse' as a fief under Duha Germati.

Heritage: Cornish

Short Biography: Ancestor of Tristan de Lyonesse a Lord in southern England, Aims to acquire the land lost to him by his fathers fall from grace, his fathers recent execution at the hands of the newly appointed 'Sheriff of Cornwall has left him embittered. He has fled his family's home in an attempt to disguise his presence. Well trained with the crossbow and double sword and popular with his people. This man is a threat to all whom stand in his way.
Content with Henry's overlordship he now seeks to expand the isle he owns, creating a church in which he has plans to marry and build a thriving coastal town.

Physical Apperance: William is a tall and muscular man with short black hair.

Short Biography: Born as second son of a free farmer, most of his family was killed by Scottish raiders. His father was killed trying to defend the farm and his mother was killed shortly after, William and 2 of his sisters survived by hiding in the house. They were brought to a local monastery by a small band of English knights. In the monastery he learned to read and write english, latin and french, he also learned history, theology, maths and a bit of engineering. However, both he and the monks knew that his place in the world is on the battlefield and not in a monastery. He now wanders the land in search of a lord to serve who will give him the military training he needs.

William was the son of a wealthy merchant in central London. As a child he was given everything he could have asked for thanks to his father's affluence. At the age of 16 he was sent to a seminary as his father worried that the boy had become too lethargic. He holds a large build, both of size and weight, and as such he was not unknown to get his way through rather strongarm tactics. He nevertheless remains a monk, though rarely remaining in a monastery, much preferring to be in the entourage of a knight or merchant. He keeps his position as a clergymen, however, ever-aware of his aging yet wrathful father.

Bio: John Dimmesdale is the son of a land owning gentleman from a moderately affluent family. Throughout his life, he felt a calling to join religious life. After a pilgrimage to Rome, Dimmesdale decided to enter a Monastery in Canterbury, where he was raised. He is a strictly pious man, bordering on obsession, and is well versed in classical Latin texts. Although he seldom speaks, when he does, it is usually worth listening to. All in all John could be described as spiritually aware and an intellectual.
