Of course, Apartheid (pronounced ah-Pahr-tide, not Apart-Hate) was worse. However, don't ask the same question to someone in Reverend Wright's church ...

    Accidentally voted Segregation is worse.

Apartheid is a little worse, but that's because the idea is the same, much worse things happened under the Apartheid.

It was worse merely by the scale alone. Blacks were the majority in South Africa, in the US they were a large minority.

Apart-Hate would actually be closer to the original pronunciation

Yet under the Apartheid the country was better for every people there. Sure they couln't vote but they were assured jobs and a own nation for each peoples. You can't claim that it is now a better country, its as corrupt as the Plague...

Things didn't get better in most former colonies of any country. Hardly surprising if you look at what Europe left them with after they left. A destroyed country, where suddenly the majority would have to lead the country even though almost none of them had any kind of experience with things like that.

The end of apartheid didn't cause things like that. It was just the European nations refusal to help the countries they used to exploit on a large enough level. It's just that ending apartheid showed clearly what European nations had destroyed earlier.

I would rather die starving, ill, young and equal than old, healthy, racist and unequal.

The lives of all people in South Africa got worse, no matter what kind of ruling they had, they all had it better thus its better then how its now.

And pray tell how much of "then" you've seen as to "now"?

Maintain the status quo to the detriment of 80% of a countries population?

    Not worth it

Please tell me you are at least a black South African. Otherwise your opinion is irrelevant.

So if I'm not black then my opinion doesn't count?

Well you've never lived in poverty while being oppressed in your own country, not being able to leave your township.
So while all opinions count, yours isn't well informed.
