    Default How to make a unique unit?

    Hi, one friend would like to do "unique units" on the TATW campaign, as the kingdoms "Crusades" campaign. (Canons Of The Holy Sepulcher; Marechal of the Templars, Constable of Jerusalem...)
    The player can have only one unit at the same time.

    Unfortunately I don't know how to do. Can someone help me?

    This is not possible. While it is possible to make a unit only recruitable once, or alternative been spawned by script, it is not possible to have the game checking when this unit is destroyed.

    Workaround: Make it a bodyguard unit (place it at the end of EDU so that it is not used by the family members). Place a character with the Ancillary, for example, "Constable of Jerusalem" on the map with this ancillary who uses this unit as bodyguard. Have the script check if that ancillary exists (i.e. the constable and his men are alive), and when this character dies have a new one spawned with this bodyguard. Spawn him with a trait that let him acquire the ancillary "Constable of Jerusalem" instantly the next turn.

    Right, but it is not possible to do the same thing like "Crusades" Campaign (One unit at the same time)?

    You can have several units available in the way that konny described. If you only want one unit out of your choices, then you add a line to check for the ancillaries of those other units. If one exists, then your selected unit will not be spawned.

    I unpacked "crusades", now I understand:

    On the "Canons of The Holy Sepulchre" attributes:

    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest, very_hardy, can_withdraw, unique_unit
