Is it possible to have MAKE your family members be assassinated? This is for the purpose of an AAR, say i want my emperor assassinated, can I MAKE an faction/assassin do it?

Yes, if you can't do it already, and I thought you could, you can do by changing descr_cursor_actions.txt. Take a back up, then change the assassin over own entry for family to resemble assassin over enemy default entry.

Failing that - just send them out to attack an enemy army by themselves. Obviously this won't give any message about a character dieing in suspicious circumstances.....

No problems. The only other way is to get the 'kill character' cheat to work. I've never managed to do that (back in the days of attempting to fix people's CTDs that was one way to do it with a character that got messed up).

I've personally never managed to get it to work - I know others have managed it. I don't know if it's one of the cheats that stopped working after RTW 1.2.
