Very good rocking song. The message of the song: WHEN PEOPLE LEARN TRUTH ABOUT UKRAINIAN WAR, THEY WILL GO INSANE!! (I suggest to turn the english subtitles on. Its over 18only because of violent pictures) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AAR6nUV7VI

I wouldnīt say so. But what about the flaming arrows? I could manage that in vanilla, or Deus lo Vult, or Stainless steel. But I canīt do that here

It's quite random. Sometimes you can't do it evevn with 4 units of archers and sometimes they burn after 2 volleys. #1 seems to occur more often though.

Setting siege weapons on fire is an unrealistic feature anyway.

"Random" or "never" are fine by me, if that's the way it must be, but I was under the impression that the defending (enemy) AI can do it a lot more easily than I can. With fire arrows I mean.

Setting siege weapons on fire may not be entirely unrealistic in my general opinion, but how it happens is.

Namely, the boiling oil at gates does partial damage to battering rams - by perhaps four percentage points each dump of oil. I would think that it should just set the thing on fire and render it unusable, but that's how it happens in-game.

I managed to light my own Ballista's and I was able to roast my own ballista crew.
    The 4 ballistas were placed:

    : Instead of ....
    I a narrow street

BTW I still don't know how Ballista towers work.
You place your archers near them, then they fire a few times then they stop for ages.
And sometimes they start to fire again once the ram get's very close
    Miss me yet?

Yeah... I've seen it happen. The AI managed to set one of my towers on fire. I don't know if it's a coincidence or whether only the AI can do it but I haven't managed it myself.

Lighting siege equipement with fire arrows if very very rare.
Lighting rams with Oil is quite rare too, so use ballista towers in critical settlements (both Osghiliat's) if only I knew how they works exactly...

Cannon towers are even weirder sometimes the use fire ammo sometimes not...

Seems that the AI routinely sets my towers and rams on fire. I always build at least one spare ram when I assault a place because of a bad experience of having my sole ram burned and no other way to batter down that gate long ago. On the other hand I have had up to a half a stack of archers continually pour burning arrows into the ram and nothing happens.

I generally just focus on the crew pushing the ram or any dangerous units approaching my gates (like trolls) so that they're weakened before they barrell on through.

I don't think there's any way to actually direct ballista fire from your towers. I find ballista towers to be waayyy over priced for almost zero impact they have on a siege.

Ballista towers have saved me on more then one occasion.

yes you can but honestly it's a lot easier to simply kill the crew operating the catapul, it can be hard if they are catapults operated by trolls though.

I was testing the kills of seige weapons against a stack of snaga archers, 3 of each type behind a line of fountain guards.

I stop paying attention for a while, turned back and noticed 3 of my Trebuchets were engulfed in a huge blaze!

balista towers have saved my ass many times, for example in a cidetal i reatreat all but one unit behind the last ring of defences, the one i left i leave on top of the gate so the balista towers can fire, then once the first ring is gone the the 1 unit reatreats to the second gate and repeat, so by the time the enemy reaches the last gate anywhere from 20%-80% of their force is dead
