    Default isenguard look?

im just wondering what people think of isengiard. i think the units look dull and boring. they where one of my favorate factions but i havnt played them because i hate the look of them. when i look at the imagination and inspiration that goes into factions like rhun (wich i used to hate but now love! great success) it seems like a letdown. just wondering what other people thought

be more specific. I wish the uruk raider faces had more variety, but that's about it.

if its variety you want and flashy looks isengard is not that type of faction. its a massed produced army in fairly short time very mechanical, dull boring. almost like a massive army of clones. Thats what its supposed to be.

far as looks go they did an amazing job imo at making them look like the movies.

the isengard units in the movie werent exactly varied...
and that was kindof part of their strength... a uniform enemy looks more scary than a ragtag band of orcs...
addicted modder... but crap at it

well i dont like the loom of the unit cards. they look dull. especialy the pikemen. and tbh its probably the fact that i have it on teh LOWSEST grwphics settings but they all just look like black blobs with samll amounts of gray

So you play at the lowest graphics settings and whine that the units do not look good in your opinion? What do you expect?Isengard are very well done.In the 1.1 patch they fixed the graphical bugs, so they are nearly perfect now.

IIRC, the movie uruks had a nice variety of faces. Well they were mostly the ones given speaking roles. So I guess it was okay for them to look unique.

The concept of Isengard is supposed to be a souless, mechanical, mass-produced steamroller of a faction, that cares nothing about individuality and freedom. If you want flashy graphics and exotic elements, go for Rhun or either of the Elves.

well if ur running lowest graphics your not going to get the full awesome of any of the units. cant really judge them based on that.

Sorry to say, but I'd think the entire game looks dull and boring on low graphics settings....

On very high graphics settings the Uruk's of Isengard probably have the most crisp, polished appearance of all the factions. I'm not saying that they are the best looking faction necessarily (there is some very stiff competition in the mod for that honor), but when it comes to units that have a crisp appearance, and look almost exactly like they did in the movie, I think Isengard wins in those categories, at least for me.

Sorry you're having to miss all of the splendor of these units' full detail.

The only variety they can be given IMO is more white hands and some different helms. (the semi circle at the top could be bigger or smaller on different uruks.

If he's giving you Cysis to play on your new computer, I don't think you're going to be worrying about lowest graphics settings for Third Age anymore.

The berserkers should have more than 1 skin. The same hand pattern on every berserker is kind of odd.

Some of the raiders/archers should have leather helmets. They weren't quite as standardized as the plate armored infantry.

Other than that they look perfect.

If you want an evil faction with variety, use Mordor. The Orc Maulers are especially awesome, having so many different weapons in the same unit.
