Default How do I turn off morale for the enemy?

I want to try it as they break and run far too easily in my opinion.

How do I turn off morale for the enemy? = Moral is what's keeping them from running.

I want to try it as they break and run far too easily in my opinion. = So if you want them to not run, then you should install Taiji BB, it adds moral for the AI only.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Indeed it does add more than DLV by itself, I can't remember how much DLV adds as standard but BB gives +3 morale to all units created by the AI. It doesn't affect units that are there from the game start, so rebels and the starting troops of nations are just as likely to run as your own men.

Through traits the player's characters often give their armies +2 to +6 morale which skews things pretty badly sometimes. I'll make an AI trait that gives morale and hitpoints to generals... I've already stuck some siege engineering points on it, I just need to make it more likely that AI generals will receive the trait and then add the extra bonuses.

edit: As for the actual question, I really don't know how to do that.

i think he means to lock morale.. which i believe it is an attribute that is written like "lock_morale".. not too sure of the spelling anyway, you should run a search with those keywords.

units with that attribute will never root.

    it is applied at export_descr_unit.txt

you can copy to clipboard the phrase ", lock_morale" and then go through all the edu pasting it around. use the quoted TATW unit as reference:

taijis files are great about this, i always mod the AI morale down from his files, so if you use them as they come it should be all right, he uses Export_descr_buildings.txt so the buildings give +morale to the units built there if they belong to AI faction. you can try increasing those morale bonuses if you are already using taijis work (will be easier than the EDU editing probably)

Cheers guys. Yeah my terminology was off. I basically wanted it such that they would never rout. However playing as Lithuania atm I'm still mopping up rebels which is why I haven't noticed the changes to morale Taiji made. Impressed with AI formations though.
