Default Request to the mod team.

Please consider a official Question and Answers thread for people that have questions and answers that are off topic. It seems certain members get annoyed as if they own the forums if the wrong question is ask in the wrong thread or if the question is beneath their standards. This would help keep peace and hopefully stop the bickering.

    Thank you.

A Q&A thread for off-topic questions? That seems a bit odd. There's probably a better location for off-topic questions than in this (or any) subforum (since it is very specific in what type of material should be within said subforum). Perhaps for the General forum it would make sense, but then again I'm not sure what you would consider off topic. Do you mean something loosely related to TA:TW or Tolkien in general? Or do you mean very off-topic, not related at all? The former would make some sense, but to make it a sticky fthread probablly wouldn't be necessary or very effective. It seems to me that the problem lies in the fact most people don't look at the sticky threads (makes some sense, since they are many pages long in some cases) and would rather start a new thread asking the question (since a new thread would be seen by more people presumably) or ask it in an existing popular thread (for the same aforementioned reasons). So in other words, the problem is with the natural desire of people to have quick answers to their questioons with minimal effort put in, which is certainly understandable if still a bit lazy.

I have no problems answering the odd misplaced question or two. General forum is probably the best place for these types of threads.

Why would you post this in the sub-mods section?

I dont have a problem with it either. But some make it a big deal and get rude and obnoxious about it.

The Question was asked in the submod section.

They are not totally off topic. They are questions about the mod but not specifically about the section they are in.Example:Someone posted a thread about, can someone make an archer submod. Then certain others complain that the thread was useless and a waste of time.Well to the person that posted the thread i'm sure it was important to him regardless what someone else thought. Not all people in here are computer wizzes or CP geeks and need alittle help without someone cracking on them about what they believe is benificial to their game.So if we created a Official thread for General Questions and Answers that does not get buried,it should satisfy both types of people and keep down rude remarks and give a place for others to get polite answers. Some people think they are Mod Gods and get annoyed with simple questions and end up insulting a person who may be a young kid or anyone who asks that simple question.
There may be such a thread.I don't know for i never see it.Maybe it's burried in the hundereds of topics.I just think if it were hard posted for everyone to easily find would be better.

I hope you understand why i think it's necessary. This a place for fun, not bullies.Just want to keep the Peace!!

If you do not think this request is important than just let it go.I just read so much hostility towards others in these forums by certain individuals because they probably can't do it in real life but they can get away with it online. This is a Great mod with many more Great possiblities and i would like to see a maintained good atmoshere for everyone.

Because this is where the rude behavior happens and this is where i saw it.If you know how to move it to the general forums go ahead.Does not matter anyway. No one has responded.Guess rude and obnoxious behavior is acceptable.
