    Absolutely!
    And I would add: "Kalevala".

    You must read:
Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson - probably one of the best series of books I've read
The Belgariad and the The Malloreon by David Eddings
    Anything by David Gemmell

    other things to try are:

Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks
For something a bit different, any of the Warhammer books written by Dan Abnett - List of works by Dan Abnett

I second the Malazan Book of the Fallen, as well as David Gemmell's Rigante and Troy series. Oh, and Lion of Macedon and Dark Prince, too.
As tacticalwithdrawal says, most of his work is quite good - though he does tend to be a bit samey.
I generally tell people that, with Gemmell, you know what you're gonna get, but you'll enjoy it anyway.

Dune tends to get classed as sci-fi, but it IS fantastic (first 4 books being by far the best)

Haven't read Brent Weeks' trilogy, though I do know it's been wildly popular (I work in a bookshop)

Apparantly if you enjoy Erikson's Malazan books, you'll like The Black Company (and visa versa, which is why I intend to get a copy soon)

And Lone Rider, whilst I'm here - is the Dark Tower enjoyable? I've been meaning to read it for a while now, but haven't got round to it yet...
    Life, go easy on me

Then I weighed him I said, “Holy ****!” because he weighs 900,000,000,000,000,000 tons. That amazing weight made me say the “S” word.
