Armoured Sergeants (again, sry)
Yep again....
Well it was fine when i edited the files with unpacked version of medieval II, but every time I wanted to fight the battle it was like kingdoms, crash and unspecified error.
So i uninstalled, run CCleaner, removed even rome total war, installed and it persists, I can't recruit Armoured sergeants in any of the 2 starting English castles 
Any help would be more than welcome.....

Did you delete the two goegraphy files?
You can recruit Armoured Sergeants in a Motte and Bailey. You just have to learn how to mod the export_descr_buildings.txt. In fact, woth that reasoning you could recruit them in a wooden pallisade.
Find the line for Armoured Sergeants and copy and paste it in the castle recruitment. If they don't show up for afew turns probably the recruitment time is long and that can be changed, too. There is a tutorial for editing that file.

for the love of...how stupid could i have been and forget that basic..sh..
yeh forgot about the good old geography files
as for the armoured sergeants parts, i had it all ok and as it should, level 3 barracks, took no more than 5 mins to "learn" lol
but don't close just yet, need to update to 1.2 and see....
and to not start another topic, is there any reason why the game doesn't read export_desc_unit.txt, using --io.file_first, with the packed game that is, since The DarthDiplomacy mod works this way, no need to unpack there, and it uses unpacked game files, only modified
(this is considering that there is no harm using the version 1.2 export_descr_unit.txt with v1.0 of the packed game)

The -io.file_first switch only works on mods, not on vaniila files. That's why it works on Darth. And you do need 1.2 to get the unpacker.All the packs got redone for 1.2. That's how the download file got to 650+ mb.
