    Default OK, this rocks

After months of doggedly sticking with ETW (which I do like) I downloaded this mod for a change of era - and these are the best-looking units I've seen in any TW game.

They've reminded me what I like best about this game - the aesthetics. After lines and lines of the exact same dress and barely formed faces in ETW, these units with their individual rendering are totally another level.

And from what reconstructions I've seen of the era, they seem bang on in the historical accuracy stakes too (as much as possible for this 'dark' age).

Will more factions be added? Wiki seems to suggest this is just a beginning…does anyone know a rollout plan? (I know this info is probably somewhere else here, but I can’t find it). I can't wait to see the Sassanids or Saxons.

    Thanks

    more factions are being discussed
patch 2 will be coming out soon -- some eye candy, improved maps, fixed battlemaps, new scripting, very aggressive battle ai and more.

    maybe some surprises

    Cool mod indeed!

One Q: Do you intend to release a kind of FINAL-FULL version or these beta+patches stay forever?

One more patch after this forth coming one may be sufficient before a non beta release but that decision needs further discussion from the IB2 Team

I've not installed the patch and I'm simply struggling with the main game, but so far this mod is truly amazing. In-terms of unit graphics/skins allow me to say that this is probably the best I've seen thus far...It may be too early to say this but as it goes - This ( INVASIO BARBARORVM II) is Medieval Total war refined and Rome Total war redefined!

Looking forward to playing the full game very soon i hope

    Anyway, just a few question/s

I have the main.exe file, could I delete the old patch (did not install it anyway) and just keep the main game and wait for the new patch?

Also, I noticed that when I highlight a unit, it does not seem to have that green marker or whatever you call them. Did I do something wrong?

    Thank you again=)

Yes eliza08, you can delete the first patch. The second patch with include the first one and it will install directly right over the main beta. The green markers can be turned off or on your units by changing the ib2 CFG File that is located where your read me file is but I did change that already in the patch II so that cities names are labeled and green arrows appear on units when you click on them

I too have really been impressed at the beauty and quality of this mod. The units really do evoke the almost mythic aura of the Dark Ages! Well done, IB2 team. What are your plans for the next release?
