Extraordinary Situation
Members of the TWC Community.
While using Admin CP to promote a few Civis to Patricians, to my surprise, I found a recent series of moderator actions by Paul. Checking his moderator logs I found the following,
For Paul to be deleting posts without permission from the staff (taken by vote) is a violation under the Syntagma. He hasn't moderatered in 9 months so why the burst of action.
To put it mildly I was stunned. Knowing that time is often of the essence and willing to take the fallout and consequences of this later I took the following actions;Overseer
An imperator seat to Paul Dacoste, he is the overseer of the Empire Forums. His opinion, very influential, his vote is equal to all. He is to be consulted only on matters of the prolonged absence of a Triumvirate and then only if there is a problem which is deemed fit. That is, the staff will vote on whether to give Dacoste powers dictatorial and ask him to come to our aid?
1. Made Paul a Senatorii Vechii and removed his access to Admin CP.
2. Changed the passwords of the Hexagon.
3. Removed admin access to two accounts that have been unused for a year.
4. Advised both Mithras and Besim of the situation and asked them to backup the forum. I also asked them for information regarding Ogresnet guidelines under this situation.
5. Sent a PM to Siblesz advising him of the situation and asking for advice.
This morning, while trying to sort though the actions of the previous night, I noticed a number of deletions from the board. Moderator actions has been logged by Siblesz's account deleting the whole of EB,

Not know exactly what was going on here, but knowing this is highly illegal under the Syntagma, I used the Hexagon account and changed the status of the Triumvirs to hold the title but not the power. Basically I removed their abilities to with Admin CP and Mod CP. They are able to post freely and access the staff forums at this time. Once this matter is fully and thoroughly investigated I will present the information and let the Civitates decide on their status.
After this move I noticed Besim, an Ogresnet staff member, continue to delete the modding community forums. I PM'ed Besim to no avail then noticed something unusual,
These infractions were all done from the same IP number which will be forwarded to Ogresnet.
These have all been initiated by the same person. I have thus removed all admin powers from all accounts accept the Hexagon and sent an email to Ogresnet to let them know what has happened. I did a check and the Ogrenet staff do not use these numbers.
That is where things stand. I offer my appologies to ALL members affected by this immature and illegal stunt. This at no time had been discussed with and would never have received approval even if it had been. At this time I am not implicating either Siblesz or NM as these accounts may have been compromised. I will keep the community informed of everything we discover.
