I am currently playing as the Greek Cities and Rome declared war on me pretty early on. Well, I have conquered all of Italy and I was wondering if the Marian reforms will ever trigger?
I think I am on year 224 bc

Ok, cool. If I give them a huge city the reform will trigger. Do I have to wait for them to build anything or will it be instant?
A relevant question for the GCS: After the reform, I think that GCS receive Perioikoi Phalangites as a reform unit. Does that mean that there are no longer perioikoi hoplites available? Because I love them, they are the best unit available, after of course the SRG.
Perioici Hoplites are no longer available after the Marian reforms.
I assume Spartan198 is talking about editing the line(s) in xgm\Data\export_descr_buildings.txt
recruit "greek hoplite spartan perioici" 0 requires factions { greek_cities, romans_brutii, } and hidden_resource sparta and not marian_reformsand changing them to:
recruit "greek hoplite spartan perioici" 0 requires factions { greek_cities, romans_brutii, } and hidden_resource spartaThat way, Perioici Hoplites will still be available after the Marian reforms, along with Perioici Phalangites.
