    Maybe start your mod towards the end of the war of the ring! It would solve a lot of headaches and give you a broader brush! Its all speculative and fairly open! The root is strong,the branches spread wide!

    towards the end Isengard would have to be removed and so would Kazad dum

    Its not too hard to make Isengard spawn later, problem being makeing them playable and satisfy the die hard lore addicts.. make a poll and see who wants them to spawn at the expense of making them unplayable..

    major problem, mordor died out in 6 turns, no reason plain, is the witch king really old or something?

    Hi i've tried o install the beta 2 of DAC but when i unzip the DAC folder i see a window telling there 1200 error with the same message for every folder

    "Impossible to create DAC Descr .............."

    i wantend to know what is the solution

    I had the same problem sirfiggin and I know the cause. I was playing as lothlorien elves and Mordor called and invasion on Edoras. I sent an army to help them and on the way I bumped into the witch-king all on his own, I killed him in battle and Mordor faction died out completely. I presume the same thing happened with the Northern Rangers as after 4 turns they were destroyed.

    ok i have fixed a few factions, including those mentioned so far.
    DESCR_STRAT.TXT attached.

    i also need to fix these factions;
    aztecs
    timurids,
    byzantium,
    poland,
    hungary,
    denmark,
    portugal,

    the problem is these factions do not have a heir.. simple.. the faction is defeated if there is no ruler to take over once the leader is dead..

    See.. This is a problem i've been trying to... solve.

    It has to do with the teutonic family tree. Or lack of family tree.

    Mordor has an heir, yes? but he's not 'related' to the the Witch-king, so kaboom - when he dies it all goes to helll.

    Same would happen for several other factions.

    Every faction that could reasonably have a faction tree does, except for RoTN - i didnt think it was appropriate, but I guess I could change it. Sigh.

    but - England (Mordor)?

    alright apparently i can still marry them off for the teutonic tree.. to get it working. lol.

    so.. i'll do some quick editing

    This is why its a beta!


    *update* the strat file is proving remarkably resilient to my editing.... taking me longer then projected - messing with family trees is always a risky business.

    I think RotN should have a family tree as they were ruled by Is Isildur's line wernt they? and i spose you could bend the lore abit and give aragorn a son abit earlier :S

    I prefer not to, its a very very easy switch for someone else to make though. Just go to the descr_sm_factions.txt and edit the family line for Russia.

    I've fixed the family tree issues for every faction, except Belegost/Moria/Angmar/Dol Guldur/Lindon/Lothlorien.

    But it shouldn't really be an issue for them.

    ROHAN ROHAN ROHAN need some teeth. Died in my RotN campaign. The RotN Needs AOR to Augment its native troops. Like if you destroy Bree you get to recruit some troop Bree-men troops.
