Will the Civil War be simulated somehow in RS II like having certain cities become like Roman Rebels or something?

Can't say anything more for the moment.

It could use the system as with the Roman Rebel Faction idea. It's quite a bit more realistic if you're up against your own legion under a rebel banner.
Or simply make all legions usable by rebels rather than they disbanding and the like... Or maybe I talking nonsense... *wanders about things*
I like pie.
Can't they just mod in the loyalty feature? That does work right?
The amount of time it would take to try and do that would mean you'd most likely be waiting into next year for this to be released.

According to the above, we may have a date. Given 365 days more or less.
The loyalty factor also requires an available faction for the rebellious generals to rebel to. We do have a load of ideas though and the civil war thing is something we're determined to model into the mod.
We've resolved a ton of issues and done a lot of things that were never done before....a 'civil war' might be easy compared to them!
Question: Does anyone remember if, when the 'Gladiator Revolt' would happen, any message popped up? Or did a bunch of gladitors just show up in a rebel army?
I'm thinking of ways to use this more 'creatively'.![]()

i thought the existing BI system of loyalty and a emerging rebel faction was good if not a little erratic.
...but not everyone owns BI, which would make the mod unplayable for peeps like me....which is NOT GOOD![]()
BI files can simply be transfered right?
When I played SPQR that had a loyalty feature and I don't have BI installed onto my PC.
I like pie.
well they can be transferred right i know xgm and spqr did it
We've gutted the files so much and placed our own stuff in...I mean we're talking months of extra work.

I believe the same for the Alexander expansion over BI...

Please don't use the BI loyalty feature: it has some pretty irritating unintended consequences.
If you take a city and are having trouble holding it, then it rebels to Roman rebels, who share the same culture as you. Becasue they will only have maybe a couple of provinces in completely random locations on the map, they are never a threat to you, and can never build up a significant force (they spend all their money romanizing the province). Also, because the Roman rebels are your enemies, all your other enemies ally with them - and so never take back their former provinces, which now contain only a weak force of rebels.
This means that the Roman rebels are effectively a free garrison that will hold a city for you during the difficult few years of greatest cultural unrest, and then not be strong enough to stop you taking it back. Even if you don't wish to exploit this feature, it can be hard to avoid at times.
You could increase the size of the rebel armies that spawn, but I'm not sure it would be enough.
