Milan has entered it's Golden Age. The Milanese are rich, healthy and they have great importance in the politics of Italian peninsula. But one day, they become sick of tolerating Venetian and Sicilian rivalry. And that day, the Great Duke decided that Milan will not just become the dominant power in Italy. Milan will become the ONLY power in Italy. And so it will be.

P.S. I conquered Italy as Venice by turn 17, how fast can you make it?
