Custom battles don't work..

I was playing the campaign and felt like just doing a custom battle...

So I set it all up and pressed Start, the game made a loud thunderclap, and went back to the page where you pick the teams of the armies.

I thought i messed up so I tried again and it did the same thing... for every map.

What's wrong with the custom battles? They don't work!

Which version of the mod are you playing?
And what version is your BI?

The battles work just fine for the vast majority of people, otherwise this would have been reported a long time ago, so sth must be wrong at your end.

And I assume your BI is definitely 1.6, right?

Okies. I suggest you patch up to 2.6 (lots of additions and improvements) and apply the 2.6 Hotfix as well on top of it, as that is the latest version of the mod and the one we are able to offer technical support for.

When you patch up, if the CBs still refuse to work, let us know.

Well I know from experience that every time FATW CTDs or gives a kickback, it's because I installed it incorrectly

So: been there, done that.

Make sure you have BI 1.6, FATW 2.0, 2.6, WoM, ..... Follow the instructions
