    Default Possible Archer submod?

    Hi, I'm just wondering how hard it would be for a submod to return the archers to 1.0 standards? If anything else, I want it back to be back to 1.0 at least until I'm through my orginal gondorian playthrough

    Please don't waste space and peoples time... especially on a suggestion that is so stupid that it's actually funny. Archers are still too strong in 1.1....

    Wow, that was nice of you. Why do you care if he wants to change archer stats. It doesn't affect you in any way shape or form. Get over yourself.

    I don't know any mods which change the stats back but you can do it yourself in Export_desc unit which is found in the mod's data folder. Go into it and each unit is listed like this. Change the red # to change their damage.

    You can change thier range.This will also help.Read from left to right and you see the 110.This is the range.Which i think is way to short.Around 200 is better.Next is amount of ammo,40.But for strength that number 3 after stat_pri is what you want.I change my archer stats all the time.I like bowmen.Alot of people don't.I believe certain units should be devestating with the bow.They sure were in the movie.Change what you like.It's your gameplay.Enjoy it.

    you change the archer strength stats if you want to make them more powerfull ni the export desc unit text. hope that helps

    Wow, thanks for the polite suggestion to go to the link you suggested Jon. Granted, I put this in the wrong place, but do you REALLY have to be so crass about it? I've opened two new threads; this one, and one that had to do with problems with Vista (and that was only after I didnt get responses when I brought it up in three previous, already created threads).

    And thanks Achilla for twisting my words around making it sound like I suggested that 1.0 was vastly superior to 1.1. I was merely mentioning 1.0 standards in comparison to 1.1 standards, not that 1.0 was any better: I just want a campaign I started and am 50 turns in to have the same stats on the troops as it did in the beginning.

    A point in the proper direction for where I should have put this suggestion is appreciated Jon; but the fact that you had to insult me, over the interwebs no less, for one thread I started and telling me to get over my own self is just rediculous. Happy to say I have never had someone be such an ass to me so quick, even online.

    Any mods that come across this thread, please delete it. I'll bring this discussion to the proper thread that Jon just was so nice to mention to me.

    Seriously,let the poor guy get his archers in HIS game the way HE wants it. It wont hurt anyone but him,so let him be. The pages are already filled with spam and i think that as much of the new people that make new accounts to post on here,they will make spam posts,i laugh to see it bother people so much when it isnt that big of a deal(zomg)....

    To the poster,seriously,not everyone on the forums are as rude as some people that posted on here.

    why do you guys post that this thread should be closed? how does it serve you?
    why do you guys tell some fellow member what he has to like, appreciate, or play in his own free time
    why do you guys think its reasonable to insult or offend fellow members and even be so hypocritical to use the forum rules for that case

    its fine to discuss in a polite manor how units should work and how their stats should be. its not fine to insult those who dont share onses opinion. the op asked how to mod stats and he got like 10 hostile posts unitl he got the answer he was looking for.

    most members like me joined this forum one day to learn about modding and apply large mod projects from others. so his question was solid. who cares if he posts it here, in the mod workshop or in the third age forum? who the hell cares. its not like you guys have to pay for the couple kilobytes the thread had.

    I started ten threads and tell me one (besides possibly the apology, but that was so broad that I wasn't about to waste my time) that was a waste of a thread... maybe the bug report should of been in the main thread but at the time it was being spammed. Please don't bother accusing me of opening too many threads when the majority are productive.

    i think what JonSnow means is "dont open threads i dont care about because those arent productive"

    this guy has every right to ask for someone to make a submod like this, or ask for help in making it himself.

    You really need a personality ajustment.Try not being so rude.Not everyone is a computer geek.Chill!!You dont have read it and you don't have to reply to it.And you don't have to be so rude because of it.


    They do need a Official thread just for questions and answers so certain members won't get annoyed.As far as i'm concerned he is just looking for help and thats fine.

    how is this one not productive? i personally would be happy to see a mod that brings the archers standards to those of 1.0
