Disc will not read

Often, when I turn on my PC and try to play Medieval II: Total War the disc will not read. Sometimes, I'm able to get it to work eventually but, now it seems that it will not read at all. I open the drive and take the disc out, close it, and put it back it but, it still doesn't solve the problem. I don't think there is anything on my PC that would cause this. What can I do to fix this?

3. What other software do you have installed?
4. Where did you buy the disc?

2. There are a few small scratches, but not enough to cause any damage to the game.

3. I have no other running software on when I'm trying to play the game.

4. I bought it brand new from a game store.

BitTorrent is considered illegal activty at this site. The copy protection softwaer (Securom) will ruin your whole day because you have it installed.

Two choices: get rid of all your torrents or get rid of the game. You can't have both.
