I know 20th Century Fox made one about Ewrin Rommel if you like Black/White films, his desert campaign is briefly put into the film.

Golden Globe Award Winner Best Picture Foreign Language Clint Eastwood oddly make two war films at the same time both about the same battle. Flag of our Fathers was the American film, while Letters From Iwo Jima is one of the very rare films based on the Japanese side of the war.

Cross of Iron. It's from the German perspective and is set in the trenches in Russia during WW2. A Prussian officer wants the Iron Cross and he'll stop at nothing to get it, including taking the credit for an attack that was actually led by a lieutenant who was killed during the attack.

Oh come on, only by 4 hours.

Considering we have a listing of all WW2 movies every few weeks or so, I shall just suggest some lesser known ones, like the Russian Zvezda, about a Russian special group operating behind the German lines during WW2. Or if you like it big, Liberation, an epic multi part movie running almost 500 minutes detailing the soviet campaign from the point when they started pushing back the Germans till the Battle of Berlin.

    Love that film
The guns of Navarone is a good WW II film
    Plot:

A British team is sent to cross occupied Greek territory and destroy the massive German gun emplacement that commands a key sea channel.

Well. Not really a film, but there's the oft-mentioned mini-series Band of Brothers - definately better than any WWII film Ive ever seen.

Band of brothers is a must watch
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

I agree. I've got it on DVD myself.

Another one you should see is Stalag 17. It's an older movie but it's one of the best POW movies out there.
