Why is my game crashing?

So, I am in the middle of a Carthaginian campaign which I really enjoy. However, during the AI's turn, in the winter of 263 BC, the game always crashes during Spain's turn. I have tried it many times, and I have restarted from earlier save points to see if that helps, but each time I get to 263 BC the game crashes. Any ideas? Oh, I do have loyalty on, but I don't think it is the siege bug. Spain is beseiging one city of mine, but we never get to the point of fighting before the game crashes.

So, enough of this text wall. Any suggetions? I really like this campaign and would hate to start over.

Well, I don't have an answer for this. Just a question of my own. Seems like a good enough thread to put this in as well. The last couple of times I have quit out of my game instead of eventually closing out and going back to the desktop it just freezes up and I end up having to start task manager or just power down manually. Just wondered if there was anything that might have caused this.

Try this:

1) load save game
2) open console
3) type disable_ai and press enter
4) end turn
5) open console
6) type run_ai and press enter
7) close console and keep playing.

Epirus campaign game crushes after I press next turn on year 273. - It does not matter in romans are destoroyed or not!

Disable_ai helped me to get through one turn, but when I enabled AI game crushed again!

Thank you for the advice Zarax. I really hope it works as I am having a great time with this campaign. I hope to get my Numidian Cavalry to triple gold chevrons one day.
