Default Your Idea of an Afterlife

I would really go for something like a Valhala (sp?) sort of place where all we did was feast, fight and How bout you?
Of these facts there cannot be any shadow of doubt: for instance, that civil society was renovated in every part by Christian institutions; that in the strength of that renewal the human race was lifted up to better things-nay, that it was brought back from death to life, and to so excellent a life that nothing more perfect had been known before, or will come to be known in the ages that have yet to be. - Pope Leo XIII

Im totally there. I would combine Valhala with your idea so I could kick some ass with Leonidas and the 300 one day, then stand beside Caesar and put down some barbarian scum the next. Totally awesome

I always had this mental image of that room from Star Treck were you could imagine something and it comes to fruition, that is if it does exist.

    So basically a holodeck?

I see the afterlife as eventually becoming part of some great being. After many cycles.

Waiting about dispersed as a bundle of unconscious aggregates of energy until it is finally united enough to take another form.

... So I guess 'waiting about' isn't quite the correct verb for unconsciousness ^.^

This life, but tens of thousands of years from now when the technology has been developed to transfer consciousness forward through time, from the moment of each person's death, into a new vat-bred body. That would be the coollest afterlife I could possibly imagine. It would be like Buck Rogers, but for absolutely everyone who was ever born, and everyone thus resurrected could be put together in temporal-cultural groups and used as colonists for new planets. That would be freaking awesome.

Hell. I heard from Scott Ian that Slayer plays center stage. My kind of place. Plus people like Mark Twain will be there for the company. So there will be some good conversations happening.

Something roughly like this life, actually, would be fine. Either that or an eternal anime convention; I'd quite like that.

But that's what I'd like to see; not what I believe happens. I believe in reincarnation; or a modified variant of it.

I'm with Rome here.....we already have those who feast (the obese), those who fight (military) and those who (who doesn't ?) on this earth, in this life. In fact the presence of those individuals of which all three of those "qualities" pertain to would be my ideal of a hell, which would mean this earthly existence with human's presence is much closer to my notion of hell than heaven.

Ah Rome... Still itching about that Islam thread eh? Pathetic. Go somewhere else to complain about and insult people, like your desired afterlife, for instance

If there was one it will be some form of reincarnation.
