Default Question about the Sharpe series

I'm going to start reading the series and I was wondering if I should read them in chornological order or the order in which they were published.

I sort of like reading them chronologically,it allows you to better see the development of the character as he progresses not only through military rank but also different theatres of war.thus Chronologically would be my suggestion

I've read all the books and own most of them, and recommend reading them in the order in which they are published as in my opinion the progression feels more natural, and you can also see Cornwell progressing as a writer. Eagle, being the first book is the grand experiment, he refines his skill in Gold before getting to Company, where he truly matures as a writer.

Then go and read the prequels and the inserts.

If you ever find violence doesn't solves anything, you haven't used enough.
