'Wrong CD' message because not gold edition

Hi all,
I've just installed third age total war, but when I try to it the game doesn't run and an error message comes up saying that the MED2GOLD CD/DVD needs to be inserted, even though I have the seperate Medieval 2 and Kingdoms CDs, not the gold edition. I've tried running it with both Med2 cds and the Kingdoms DVD but I always get the same message. I installed it onto Kingdoms 1.5 with no other mods etc and I can't work out what the problem is. I didn't think the mod was only compatible with the gold edition..help?

No I have also seperate Medieval II and Kingdoms...
I think you might have patched your game with the wrong patch - because, there are different 1.5 versions, for gold and normal version...
look at your pacth carefully again, if it is gold patch, than make a clean reisntall of medieval and download the right patch...
