Strange Darling (2023)
The biggest highlight of the year for me. From some point onwards, I just couldn't stop smiling. I just couldn't help it, even though what happened was terrible.
Til that in Shyamalan's Trap, the girl playing the pop-star is actually a (relatively unknown?) pop-star and Shyamalan's daughter ^^
^ Good for him, I suppose? ^^
But the movie sucked and constantly relied on highly unrealistic/impossible developments.
Basic premise, gets lost in a weird political debate held at the barrel of a gun.
Ending was cool, though.
Night of the Hunted
I just watched the Substance - new film with Demi Moore.
I recommend it
It has a few issues, personally I am not sure if there is consistency in a crucial part of the plot, but the movie is well-made and Demi was great.
Hellboy: The Crooked Man (2024)
I pondered a lot if to go see it or not, but in the end I did and I'm glad for it because it was an interesting experience. It's not much like the previous Hellboy movies, as much as I can remember them, but rather a boldly done spooky concept movie. The CGI suffered the most noticealby from low budget imo but I didn't really care about it in the context.
Blink Twice (2024)
Things start to seem a little off and there's a sick reason for it. They start to unfold a bit slowly but the endgame is quite wild.
What I didn't like is that no one would sacrifice themselves for stuff they (very clearly) don't directly experience. Maybe it was covertly an allegory for motherhood, not sure

I don't know what Amy Addams was thinking, but this movie (assuming it tries to be a black comedy) looks rather terrible:
(Flinn, I hope it's ok to post, I mean it's a trailer!)
3 body problem : 5 episodes in and it's pretty solid.
^There is Chinese tv series of it too - but it has tens of episodes.
The Chinese one is a lot closer to the (first) book.
Hate begets hate.
Violence breeds violence.
This is the basic premise of this movie.
Me, personally? I love vendettas.
Because they're fun.
Blue Ruin
Mediocre film from a not-so mediocre director.
Lumberjack the Monster
Enjoy a walk through the wilderness of Ontario.
With 2nd hand Jason right behind you.
Kinda like a video game but with slashers
