So, what do you get when you mix a haunted house story with some Aztec sacrifice?

    No One Gets Out Alive

Pretty standard (aka mediocre) horror flick.
    Bonus points:

    1. Likable Final Girl
    2. Original & somewhat perverse creature design
    3. ROMANIAN language being spoken

    Cons:
    Nothing original here (haha)
    Except maybe, the mystery box

    Expend4bles (2023)

It's so good at being bad but as a dumb action movie, it works.

Well, when I heard that this was the final movie, I thought Denzel would go out in a blaze of glory.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    I was wrong.
Nothing can kill McCall. Not sure I like this ending.

Nice to see veteran actor Remo Girone of La Piovra fame.
We old guys never forgot Il Commissario.

    My Mongol Obsession is satisfied.
Only one question: why the lack of bows & arrows ?

Mongols without bows are like Italians without pasta.

    Saw X. (saw Saw X)

It is a bad movie, no two ways about it. The Saw series should have died many years ago, imho it could have stopped at Saw III.

None of the traps were good - only an imaginary one, which is on the poster, which should speak volumes about this movie. Most of the traps didn't even give you a chance to win - I mean one guy had to cut out part of his brain

Would you recommend any funny movie you have seen recently? Something to brighten the spirit?

I wish I could. I am not into comedies. Though I did have a look at some US comedians recently (despite feeling ashamed to do so due to OCD ). Maybe you can search youtube for "Norm MacDonald".

I was talking about movies, and it doesn't have to be a comedy to be something that makes you smile. From Ruby Sparks to The Novelist’s Film (what a joy). i was talking more about "comfort movies"

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)

The fire and lightning didn't feel scary here, so it didn't make much impact on me but it was ok to watch for once.

    Weird movie.
Vampires, if they were real, would definitely be politicians.

The Many Faces of Billy Milligan

Well, this guy never got bored when he was alone in his house.
    Get it?

    Hunger Games (2012)

    Finally saw this.
    After ... 11 years?
    It was ok.
    A solid 8.

She developed into a border-to-A-list, which is, I suppose, underwhelming?
Maybe she got hit hard with that cloud image leak.
Or maybe she got hit hard with the stupidest movie ever, Mother

    I still haven't seen Mother.
Guess I fear it more than any horror

    The Sacrifice

Propaganda aside, this was actually pretty decent.
Finally, a war movie with an objective & NO UNNECESSARY BACKGROUND story.
    What can I say?

The Communist Chinese Army belongs in Warhammer 40k Universe.
    Much epic, much sacrifice.

    Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

    Better than the first one.
