    The Last Duel.
This was really bad, imo. Too on the nose as well.

Here's to the last shower you'll ever take.

Ending was strangely funny now that I'm no longer a kid.
    Still a classic.

    The Nun II (2023)

It hasn't got as much of the scary atmospehere as the first one has but I think it is more emotional and has a couple more jump scare moments.

    Superpower

    Sean Penn in Ukraine.
Been waiting for this to come out.
Nothing new & unknown was mentioned.
Unless you lived under a rock for the last 2 years, you know what's been happening in Ukraine.
This doku is not important because of Sean Penn (he comes off as a goofball at times) but it's more important for the historical people present.

    Uncut Gems.
Some drama with Adam Sandler. It is ridiculously long (over 2 hours) and imo nothing special.

I think the only merit of the movie is that it is the first (afaik) that gives you the feeling of being high on cocaine (from what I have benn told).

    Influencer

I know, it looks like it's going to be the typical crap, but it is not (it's not brilliant either, but at least funny/interesting).

Well, this was very difficult to watch, for personal reasons.
Very authentic piece, that's for sure.
    Great performances from everyone involved

I watched it a while ago.
Imo, it wasn't bad, but also wasn't good enough to count as a return to success for the director.
I'd write him off as finished ^^
The main actor did well, though. The story fell short and the ending (obviously a delusion brought about by the medications) felt very abrupt and too artificial.

I tried to watch the Beenie Bubble, a Zack Galifianakis movie.
Then the movie has the first 7 minutes be a monologue about how this isn't the story of Zack's character.
So I deleted the movie 8 minutes in.

You are, of course, right about the ending. I found it silly too.
But I believe that Brandon Fraser was nowhere near as real or as fit for a role as this one. Usually, he played lovable idiots.

    Life Itself (2014)

Tribute to the great Roger Ebert.
Thanks to this documentary, I no longer see movie critics as evil talentless losers.
I also find it a bit perverse to document a sick person's final days.
Just let the guy rest in peace.

    No One Will Save You

It has its flaws but it is an original film (beyond the fact that there is nothing new under the sun), the actress is very good and "it has heart."

    ----------------------

    Burning Body, TV miniseries.

Reasons to see it in order of importance:

    1. Úrsula Corberó.

    2. See the pathetic lives of the fascist boys of the state security forces (in this case the spanish one).

    3. The criminal plot (who killed and why)

(Some acting is shameful, macho morbidity directed at the woman involved in the murder).

    Rundskop aka Bullhead

    Thriller, very intense.
Not for the faint of heart.
    Contains:

    1. Most abominable act ever reproduced in cinema
    2. How to perform caesarian on a cow
    3. Very sad, angry and tortured cattle farmer/ gangster, all jacked up on steroids & growth hormones.

    Inspired by real events.

    A Haunting in Venice (2023)

It was fun to see Poirot try to make sense in scary and apparently supernatural happenings while a few things were left unexplained. But a couple of scary moments in this were too blatantly cheap.

Alicia Silverstone? Is it the 90s?
I will try the movie, though...

    Home Alone with aliens.

    No One Will Save You

    Pretty nonsensical but nicely shot.

    I watched Reptile.
Alicia is nice, and has a 90s aura.
But the movie is pretty basic and shallow
