The Bubble
I liked this.
I like how it predicts the future (the Actors & Screenwriters Strile)
Pretty straightforward spoof comedy.
Don't know WHY everyone hates this.
Jatte lambastes Calico Rat
Qué?
It's just "indeed", with greek letters.
Instead of with Euboian greek letters (=latin)
I am really looking forward to Dune 2: Prophetic Boogaloo but my eardrums aren't.
Villenueve seems to emphasise plot points by shaking your seat, and in Oppenheimer Nolan uses the same technique he did in Inception of a loud motif to the same purpose, one that gradually resolves itself for a nice explication.SPOILER: it's not a Piaf song but it would have been epic if it was.
Its a well made film, and while we can mock Hollywood elements (the recruitment montage is literally "we're putting together a team", bit parts that turn into significant characters later weighted by the fame of the actor, Damons Avengers tier quips) it doesn't let its subject matter down.
Huge ensemble trying to do credit to the complexity of the story, and I wasnt bored once in over three hours (I was bored about 2 hours into each of his Batman films).
Some of this story is touched on in Cormac McCarthy The Passenger, indeed I'm pretty sure Nolan was thinking of it at times. The characterisation of the main players and their agonies are consistent with their careers and statements AFAIK.
Bravo Nolan, but unironically. His best film that I have seen.
The Northern Limit Line
Well, this was depressing.
And overly long.
I don't care about Private So-and-So and his family.
Just get to the action already!
Side-note: Koreans are emotional people.
Tried to watch The Rig. Some british (afaik) series about a rig attacked by primordial life.
I know the premise is pitiful to begin with, but still it could have been handled a lot better than in this terribly bad show.
Too bad for Iain Glen.
Koreans are emotional, they also love Zombies.
All of us are Dead.
Lots of political commentary on Korean society/culture, most of which is laid bare with zero subtlety. But, unless you're Korean, you likely don't care about that.
This is the style of 'Train to Busan' (which is referenced in one episode), some comedy, lots of action, some clever plot points and twists. All round good Zombie fun.
Hannah Takes the Stairs
Oh look!
It's another one of those pompous, avangarde, tongue-in-cheek, insipid, clueless, vapid, niche-wannabe, experimental movies!
Where nothing happens.
Everyone speaks and says nothing of substance or value.
Written by?
You guessed, the one and only, Greta Gerwig.
In her heyday.
I'm starting to think of her as I would think of a talentless hack.
Well, she was young, she experimented.
Ignore this, unless you're forced by circumstances to watch.
I regret every moment of it, every second.
The Machine
This was nice.
Surprised Bert can act.
Scream VI
Oh, look!
It's another sequel.
Now, I liked the changes and I feel that the filmmakers were trying to make something different up until the point it became virtually the same movie as the old ones.
All this joggling of tropes leading to nothing new.
Welcome to the barren wasteland of Unoriginality!
So...

Oppenheimer
What can I say?
This movie could've been the one movie that convinces Vladimir Putin not to go nuclear.
Christopher Nolan, you've doomed us all.
Pandora
Fukushima 2.0 the Korean version.
With too much crying at the end.

You hear the Valkyries calling?
I do.
And I'll see you at the Gates of Hell.
The Northman
For when you need to send every foe in the room to Valhalla.
