Finch
Tom Hanks + dog & robot.
Not a bad story but man, couldn't they design a nicer looking robot?
Jeff looked like a retail Deadpool bot.
No offense, but that red head really didn't suspend my disbelief

Escape from Mogadishu
Subtle yet impactful.
Korean war movie, pretty decent.
No Time to Die
Well, this was surprising.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Our House
Well, this was terrifying.
For a bit.
The build-up was super slow.
The delivery, not so much.

Welcome to M. Night Shyamalan's 'disaster'
Or 'masterpiece' ?
You decide.
It's not a brilliant movie by any stretch of the imagination but it does make you think.
In the end, it's all about friendship.
And family.
And I feel this was made to fix the director's anxieties about death and growing old, more than giving us a show.
Kuddos for them making it during the pandemic.
That's something, right?
Just remember:
Although collecting shells is played off as a boring hobby, 42 conch shells could be worth upwards of $15,000 USD depending on the size and quality.
Certainly nothing to sneeze at.
Sometimes, all you need to do is watch Jack Nicholson shout at somebody.
I have therefore, embarked on a Jack Nicholson Shoutin' Like Crazy Marathon.
Starting off the race... I give you:
The Border 1982
This must be Trump's favorite movie.
All kidding aside, not a bad flick at all. Kinda makes you think about the plight of ordinary people who just want something better for their lives.
This has a lot of heart.
It also contains Jack Nicholson shouting at Harvey Keitel in the Texan desert.
Nicholson's Fury-meter: 2/10.
He can do better, folks.
I know he can.
You know, it's something about Jack and how he yells at you that makes him frightening and endearing at the same time.
This movie, though, ain't no picnic.
However, it is on Roger Ebert's Greatest Movies of All Time:
Five Easy Pieces 1970
These two-minutes cemented Jack Nicholson as America's quintessential nonconformist.
Here's the sample:
Jack loses his control more than once, in this movie, especially in front of a dog, on a busy highway.
Nicholson's Fury-meter: 8/10.
We're getting there, folks.
We're getting there.
Ok, ok, I'm taking a break from Jack Nicholson, sue me.
Just had to change gears for a... uhm, change.
Without further ado, I give you:
Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas
I admit, I got this because of Mads Mikelsen looking like a Witcher poster.
Not a lot of action but at least, it feels medieval.
What I deplore is the lack of helmets.
Helmets, people! Why doesn't anyone use helmets anymore?!!
Still, good movie over all.
NITRAM.
Based in actual events of a mass shooting in Australia in the 90s'.
One of those times when empathy disappears fast, and you really want to see a character beaten severally. Disturbing in places, sad in others, never graphic.
The direction and performance from the cast is superb.

The Jackathon continues.
Here is:
The Passenger 1975
Here we see a more subdued Jack Nicholson.
Not the type that yells in your face.
Old Jack re-released this beauty for us, back in 2003.
This gets a 2/10 on the Nicholson's Fury-meter
Because he's not really angry, just depressed.
Great elaborate final shot.
Antonioni's the King.
Shang Chi! One of the best Movies in the MCU!
I gotta tell you Penguin I love your insistence on referring to your Nicholson binge as a Jackathon.
I just watched The Prestige for the second time. Fantastic movie but I have to say as someone with hearing loss, Nolan’s issues with sound mixing showing up as early as 15 years ago surprised me. Dude just has a fetish for unintelligible dialogue.
Rep me and I'll rep you back.

The Last Duel, absolute crap.
I honestly have never had a single issue understanding the dialogue in any of Nolan's movies, including Tenet. I've heard the same complaint from numerous people though so I feel like I'm just the outlier.
Might be my favorite movie everI just watched The Prestige for the second time. Fantastic movie

That's really disappointing to hear. I had planned on watching this tomorrow. Hopefully my experience is better than yours. The Last Duel, absolute crap.

The Last Duel.
@Mish - LoL.
On the other hand. As a film about a medieval duel, yeh, I can see it disappointing people. As an example of film making that provokes discussions. It's quite brilliant. It does help if you know before watching that the story is told and re-told from the three perspectives of the main characters. So rather than a three act story, as the majority of films, it's about perspective of events and, some subtle some glaring, differences in recollections. There's also the 'ownership' element and the deplorable treatment of women. The use of on 'God' to resolve all issues of morality and the manipulation of 'Gods' will, something we all know Ridely Scott loves to dig into. And, was it all a set-up, which didn't occur to us until a while after the film ended.
It's Ridley Scott, so you know what it's going to look like and the quality of visuals is going to be high. Acting is high quality, Driver and Comer are brilliant in their roles. Damon is, for once, the weakest of the three main characters, but that could be because his character is just weaker.
Or, yeh a long-winded exercise in who cares to get to a five-minute tussle between two men, where quick camera work makes it look more skilled and violent than it really is. As with Gladiator.
But of course it's a Jackathon.
What else would I call it?
My Mother's Failed Marriage?
Love your avatar btw (Go Uruks)
Aquaman
Congratulations, DC !
You've made the most Marvel-esque movie possible.
Now, go to the kitchen and make me a grim-dark sandwich!
This was boring to watch.
Not even Jason Momoa could rescue it.
Seeing Amber Heard, somehow, made it worse.
The Most Dangerous Animal of All
Great documentary.
Haven't been this much on the edge of my seat since The Jinx.
Anyone watches MCU films? What is the best so far for you?
Scenes from a Marriage 2021
Scariest Horror I've seen in a while.
No, but seriously, great acting from Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac.
Watched The Road for the first time last night. ing amazing movie, even if the ending felt a little bit unearned. Pretty much the high mark for post-apocalyptic films.
Also watched Keanu yesterday. Was just as good as I expected from a Key & Peele movie, definitely worth checking out.

@Aorun
It’s probably not a very popular opinion here but I’m a huge MCU fan. Winter Soldier is easily my favorite from a stand-alone perspective but IW/Endgame was a massive accomplishment and amazing if you’ve followed the films leading up to it. Phase 4 has been very disappointing so far though IMO
