Greyhound: I liked it. One storyline and does not deviate, even feels it's been cut to 1h30 from 2h...

Just finished binge watching 2 seasons of The Punisher. Excellent show which was on my watch list for a long time.
IN PATROCINIVM SVB Dromikaites
'One day when I fly with my hands - up down the sky, like a bird'
But if the cause be not good, the king himself hath a heavy reckoning to make, when all those legs and arms and heads, chopped off in battle, shall join together at the latter day and cry all 'We died at such a place; some swearing, some crying for surgeon, some upon their wives left poor behind them, some upon the debts they owe, some upon their children rawly left.
Hyperides of Athens: We know, replied he, that Antipater is good, but we (the Demos of Athens) have no need of a master at present, even a good one.
A brave new world: I liked it, great portrayal of the society. I have a blurred memory of the book, but I reckon they changed the ending to allow more seasons.
Palm springs: a new spin on groundhog day, it's ok.
The Sopranos
Still, one of the best shows to ever hit network television.
Before Band of Brothers, before Game of Thrones, it was this.
It does get tiresome, after a while.
I got sick of:
a. Carmella's complaining.
b. Meadow's high horse.
c. A.J's depression.
d. Toni's self-deprecation.
Nobody seems to accept responsibility.
Everybody lies.
I really did like Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri.
I was even afraid Toni might clip him that one time, on the boat.
Poor Paulie.
He looked so frightened on that boat, almost like a little kid.
It was really touching how he took care of his ma.
But Tony was always picking on him, all through the last 3 seasons.
It was like the writers were intentionally trying to pit Paulie against his boss.
The actor was a true gangster, too.
Casino
What a masterpiece.
You can't make any casino movies without being overshadowed by this one.
Martin Scorsese ruined it for us all.
I really don't get what was Ginger's problem.
After all, Ace gave her everything.
Goodfellas
Still great.
Trees Lounge
You won't believe how many of the Sopranos crew are in this one!
The bit player: documentary about Claude Shannon, a scientist way ahead of his time, the father of IT.
The Blackout
You might call this Russian War of the Worlds.
And you'd be wrong.
This movie has everything, from aliens to real military equipment and happy genocide.
Russians definitely know how to Post-apocalypse.
The Wild Bunch is gritty as they come. Also Ulzana's Raid, as classic westerns go it's as dark as they get.Originally Posted by conon394
I really liked Sil: always loyal even when he disagreed with Tony, and despite being ever ready to whack someone he was the only one who would try talking Tony out of killing someone before weighing up the consequences. Also always knew when not to say anything...
You Should Have Left
Kevin Bacon's 62 looks better than my 36.
Other than this? Not much really.
After the freaky stuff starts, the movie's gets pretty standard.
Even the plot twist at the end.
Seom (The Isle)
Moral of this film? You can solve any problems if you sink 'em.
Or use fish-hooks.
Worth watching, if only for Jung Suh
Gunhamdo (The Battleship Island)
Another island, more historical this time.
Talk about pulling on the heart strings toward the end...
A matter of perspective.
The Rental
Not bad, for Dave Franco.
Didn't know he could direct.
The world must really be coming to an end.
Summer of 84
Masterpiece.
Superb acting, superb writing, superb directing, superb theme.
It doesn't get any better than this.
This feels like Stranger Things meets Psycho meets Halloween.
Brilliant.
That ending...
Jaime Lannister drinks.
Jaime Lannister drinks in the morning.
Jamie Lannister drinks in the evening.
Jamie Lannister in the woods, hugging trees and rescuing deer.
Jamie Lannister being hunted down by an enigmatic camouflage expert who uses a ghillie suit and a 17.000 years old weapon to catch his prey while at the same time, evading all modern tracking devices.
The Silencing
Jamie can definitely act (he was good in 'Shot Caller'), but, yeh, this lacked character/plot development for the bad guy.
It's okay up to a point. Then it takes a very, we couldn't be pay the writers so we just scrambled together an ending, turn.
Feels very much like a 'did it for a mate who needed a break into the industry' vibe.
A dog walks into a tunnel and when it comes out, it's the same dog.
A guy walks into a tunnel and when he comes out, it's a kid, man and an old dude, at the same time.
If this doesn't make sense, don't watch:
Dark
P.S: I regret every minute of it.
Quantum entanglement = we, the writers, have NO IDEA how time travel works and the plot is getting too thick so we'll just blame Quantum Physics
Problem solved
Empire.
The edge of civilization.
Barbarians at the Gates.
It's the same old story, of us vs. them.
The magistrate in this, could really be any nationality, Roman, Greek, English, German or Chinese. It doesn't matter.
Colonialism has always been the same.
Waiting for the Barbarians
