I was very disappointed. it is not easy to make a boring movie with such good ingredients.

    Age of Samurai - Netflix.

    Pretty good docudrama.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Only thing that was a bit annoying was each historian trying to over dramatise every event.

Nothing really happens in this movie.
The main character is so dumb, way stupider than the real life persona this movie is supposedly based on.
This is an artsy flick based on an urban myth.
    Two hours of nothing.

Can you suggest a good psychological thriller? (something recent-ish, say from 2017-)

Age of Samurai - This is so generic. It isn't any different from other documentaries that came out in the 90's and early 2000's. It looks so dumb and hokey and they just skip over everything like the majority of documentaries do. This is somehow more condensed than a Wikipedia article.

Why? I thought you guys stuck together, since, well, the Peloponnesian Wars.
Well, if you didn't like that, maybe give this a shot:

    Great performances on everyone involved.
    Smart script.
    Bridget Fonda is a fox.
This was like a Cohen Brothers movie without the humor and the Cohens.
    It's definitely Fargo-esque.

'The performances can be described only as flawless: I could not see a single error of tone or feeling. Paxton, Thornton, Fonda and Briscoe don't reach, don't strain and don't signal.'

^Actually, the smaller the country, the bigger the infighting

I have watched A Simple Plan, many many years ago.

I was in a birthday party in a cinema on Saturday and we were shown two films.

    Twilight (2008)
I don't recommend, unless you're a teenager and into teenager / high school stuff.

    The Little Things (2021)
I don't recommend, unless you're a fan of Jared Leto and Rami Malek and want to see their performances. The story is not worth the time imho.

I watched The Gift (2015). It was pretty cool (it's just a psychological thriller).

    Last night in the cinema.

    Riders of Justice (2020)
I recommend this movie. From tragedy to absurd comedy, it's a rollercoaster of emotions.

    The Mauritanian

    Tough stuff to watch.
Especially since the guy managed to stay sane after 14 years of detention.

    WandaVision.
    What a ride.
    Thanks Marvel!

Cosmic sin: some great visuals and promising ideas that unfortunately don't deliver. Aliens in assassin creed clothing, wtf!!!

Body brokers: interesting story but weak storyline and acting is off at some scenes. This topic was exposed by "last week tonight with John oliver" last year iirc.

Finished Wanda Vision last night. I thought Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver were from X-Men? Anyway the first two episodes were entertaining but it got boring after that. The last couple episodes made no sense to me.

Boss level: brainless action, well made and it got a couple of lol along the way.

The references to Marvel and other stuff were off the charts. Literally everything was a reference. In one of the later episodes if you look at the movie theater sign you can see "The Incredibles" and if I remember correctly "Parent Trap".

    Hotel Artemis (2018)
I don't recommend. Apart from an interesting setting and some action, this film doesn't have much to offer.
