Fan service and nostalgia maybe dirty words in Star Wars terms, but Cobra Kai eats that crap for breakfast with a cold beer.

Fantastic fun, especially if you're of an age to have seen the original movies.
Easily the best i watched in 2020. Epic fun. I binged 2 seasons. Will get on this right away.

The eight hundred : first half is a decent effort at a war movie, second half is shameless Chinese national propaganda. Weird they are not communist troop but kuomintang, I wonder how it passed censorship.

The CCP controls China. The KMT is part of China's history. So in actuality the CCP is doing a brilliant ploy to control the historical narrative and to take control of the KMT's image as part of Chinese history. While the KMT is no longer in control of Taiwan. This is actually a clever strategy to undercut the KMT and their claim to China's history, and the current perception of Chinese history among the Chinese populace.

Season 3 is as UN-appoligetically un-PC as the first two.

You can guess who gave Mitch the nickname 'Penis Breath.'

My friends have been obsessed with Cobra Kai.

It was supposed to be a cash grab with the karate kid actors, but apparently it’s become really good.

Been on a massive Mafia binge, starting with re-watching the Godfather trilogy (Part 3 is better than I remembered, still the low point obviously..), then Goodfellas for the first time and ending it with the Irishman. So lots of slow-moving, ridiculously long films worth all the effort it takes to watch them.

Then I went to the Usual Suspects..it may just have aged because its tropes have been used in every crime film since then, but honestly I felt underwhelmed.

Once you know how it ends it doesn't have a lot of rewatch value.

A Bronx Tale, State of Grace and Once Upon a Time in America are all solid Mob movies.

    Synchronic

Really bad, I could only watch forty minutes. Some nice dialogues. Huge script stupidity (unless it was fixed at the end somehow).

    Schitt’s Creek

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I’ve binged it twice since Christmas.
Of these facts there cannot be any shadow of doubt: for instance, that civil society was renovated in every part by Christian institutions; that in the strength of that renewal the human race was lifted up to better things-nay, that it was brought back from death to life, and to so excellent a life that nothing more perfect had been known before, or will come to be known in the ages that have yet to be. - Pope Leo XIII

    The Square

Well, it's a film. Veeeery slow-paced. Kinda funny at times because of the absurdity/idiocity.

Does have one very interesting scene starring Planet of the Apes actor Terry Notary that goes on for longer, and gets a lot spicier than the youtube clips show.
